Well hi there! I'm Soren. A few things about me:

-I'm generally a laid-back kind of dude, and I try to maintain a positive outlook on life. I'm also kinda shy and tend to keep to myself in real life, but I'm doing my best to work on this.
-I love playing video games, and always have ever since I first laid eyes on the original grey-brick Gameboy. My favorite genres are RPGs, action games, and platformers. I also occasionally enjoy fighting games, even though I'm pretty terrible at anything that isn't Super Smash Bros (which isn't really a fighting game, I know, but still). >_>
-Speaking of video games, I make Let's Plays! Been doing that for two years now. I've come a long way from my rather terrible first attempt, but I could probably stand to improve some more.
-I absolutely adore music, and I hope to make a career out of it one day, though I haven't decided what, exactly, that will entail. I do know that I want to learn how to play the piano, at least, but there aren't any teachers around here. =/ In the meantime I guess I'll mess around in FamiTracker to see if I can make anything worthwhile.
-My favorite genres are classic rock, old-school progressive rock, jazz, funk, the odd bit of metal, and, of course, the myriad and various styles of video game music. I've also been getting into electronica, hip-hop, and ska lately. Every now and then I'll listen to classical music, as well, though I should probably do that more often.
-My favorite band/artist is Led Zeppelin; I have my dad to thank for that, and a rather sizable chunk of my musical tastes in general. I also quite enjoy Yes, Soil & "Pimp" Sessions, Electric Light Orchestra, Anamanaguchi, and The Bamboos, among many others.
-My favorite video game composers are, in no particular order, Yasunori Mitsuda, Yoko Shimomura, Michiru Yamane, Nobuo Uematsu, Michiru Oshima, and Yuzo Koshiro; some runners-up would be Hiroki Kikuta, Kenji Ito, Motoi Sakuraba, and Masashi Hamauzu. My favorite classical composer, meanwhile, is Frederic Chopin; I'll probably have more once I've listened to more classical music, I imagine.
