Did you know that my dad used to play guitar? Well, now you do. A while ago his co-workers gave him one as a retirement-gift. However, he never used it. Which brings us to today, where I figured...

Attached Image

"Why the hell not give it a try?" A bit of tinkering later I had tuned the thing. I remember practicing the flute when I was young, but it never was any fun and all I could produce amounted to dissonant noise (okay it was better than that, but not by much). Trying to play this thing however turned out to be quite fun. Half an hour later I at least managed to play a small tune. Barely anything worth mentioning I know, but I'm still content with it given the fact that I have never had a guitar in my hand before. So anyway, by the time Half-Life Episode 3 comes out I'll probably be able to contribute to it.

Oh, and in case you wonder what I managed to play: The first fifteen seconds of this.

A-arigatou, Joan-chan. I'm currently putting together a cosplay of Meenah (also from Homestuck), and although it's been a bit labor intensive it's shaping up to be a very solid and great cosplay. I'll post pictures after I debut her at TNT2012!!

I was just about to point out that Meow Mix would probably flip out over that. If she ever comes back, that is...

I'm mostly on Tumblr talking to all of my friends on there and goofing off, if not sleeping since it's summer. My Europe trip KILLED me and I'm still pretty exhausted. I probably won't be posting here too much, like, maybe once every few months. It okay.

mentioning europe

The catacombs were the highlight of my trip, real talk no lie. I literally used half of my supply of euros at the gift shop buying as much death-y stuff as possible - books mostly!

(coming in second place was Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London. aaaaahhhh what amazing buildings~)

Very cool pictures, MM. It looks like you hit quite a few landmarks on your trip. I've always wanted to visit the Colosseum, myself. Did you go with a group of friends, or was it part of a school trip or something?

Hey, I've stood there!

Me too; went to Italy with my grandparents and cousin when I was 12. I remember that the stairs to go up to the Colosseum were very slanted, and that it was very weird walking up.

Glad you had a lot of fun on your trip, MM! =D

Who would have thought that of all the places in spacetime, the Colosseum would be where (in a sense) a PA-meetup would occur? Maybe we had the wrong idea and the PA-movie should instead involve battles with swords, oil and lots of homoerotic undertones?

...I'm not taking my shirt off. It's for the better.

So anyway MM, you been to Germany too?

M1903, right? That's an old chestnut. Is it still functional? Surplus? They haven't been in service in decades, and with our inflated military budget, I don't see why they'd resort to equipping you with an antique.

Unless you really pissed off someone on the chain of command.

Also, that's a really nice photo. I like the look of dark person on a light background.
