I heard about plans for a new show awhile ago. Can't wait to see what it like.

--------------------

The anime adaptation of that Naruto fanfiction where Tobi comes up a a surefire plan to get the reminding tailed beast aka sexy no jutsu. (The scene you see above is Tobi showing Deidara (Who don't approve of the plan.) that the sexy no jutsu can work with the mask on.)

Can't wait to hear what Mykan has to say.

"The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.”

There is only one god, and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death. "Not today." - Syrio Forel

I am He who howls in the night; I am He who moans in the snow; I am He who hath never seen light; I am He who mounts from below.
My car is the car of Death; My wings are the wings of dread; My breath is the north wind’s breath; My prey are the cold and the dead.

Character-driven comedy is the order of the day as this new take on the super hero series focuses on the funny business that happens between saving the world and living together as teenagers without adult supervision. They may be super heroes who save the world every day … but somebody still has to do the laundry! With the ability to turn into any animal or detach their robotic limbs, teenage pranks reach a whole new level. And even super heroes have to take Driver’s Ed. to get a license – especially after wrecking the Batmobile on an unauthorized joy ride to impress a girl!

Nothing about this sounds like a show anybody should watch.

Depends whether they bring back Terra or not.

Shmeckie: Superheroes with a humorous, down-to-earth side can work like with Giffen's run on Justice League America (where Guy Gardner takes his naive, sheltered girlfriend, Ice, to a porno flick on their first date), but this cartoon looks dumb.

If that actually happened I'd record those episodes to a disc and personally hand-deliver them to Mykan at the next Anime North.

... How is this any different from the original Teen Titans? The animation is just cheaper now.

The original Teen titans got up its own ass with silly drama. And a villain it didn't deserve.

I assume you're talking about Deathstroke. They really dumbed down a lot of stuff in the original cartoon (Starfire in particular) and don't even get me started on that little inter-dimensional alien, Larry.

I remember watching Teen Titans. It was one of my favorite shows. I really didn't know stuff was dumb down because I didn't even know that it was based on a comic. Really I only hear about DC Heroes from TV. (Comics cost money)

I did one day read the first issue of a Teen Titans comic that was in a library seeing as I was currently watching the cartoon and I liked it. I still have plans on getting the other issues of it...one day.

I really do wonder how much darker Slade was in the comic and I heard that Dr. Light was a real danger in it. (Ok, I think there was one episode where Dr. Light did something that was a threat.)

Although I think I prefer the cartoon Starfire all things considered. The comic one is fairly boring, or at least she was when I read anything with her in it. Not too big of a DC guy.

Deathstroke on the other hand is pretty fucking badass. Although I still like his semi-parody better.

I prefer Teen Titans Deathstroke/Slade because he is neither a Mary Sue nor is he a pedophile.

Also Ron Perlman.

Only once, when he raped somebody. Because DC decided to go balls-to-the-wall with an attempt at being edgy. And they keep doing that. And that's why DC sucks (sans Batman, but that goes without saying...)

Mark Wolfman and George Perez were an awesome combo and did some great stuff with the characters when they were righting them. Then again, DC had some great stuff in the 80's like the George Perez run on Wonder Woman and Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Shmeckie: Ron Pearlman is just plain made of awesome. As for Dr. Light, god was Identity Crisis just pathetic in its "realism" and "edginess". What it did to Sue and Ralph Digby was terrible.

Meanwhile, Marvel rides a wave of money from it's dark humor-centric cash cow character while never having to worry because Disney.

Stan Lee is laughing all the way to the bank. While smoking a cigar. Which he lit with a trade paperback of Countdown to Infinite Crisis set on fire.

I'm not even sure how to feel about this, my childhood suddenly came crashing back down on me and I'm going through a bit of shock at the moment.

This seems like a dumbed down version of the original with cheaper animation, but I'll probably still tune in to the first couple eps, for nostalgia's sake.

So, in another words, they're going to make a sequel to Teen Titans but instead of keeping everything that made it watchable (i.e., Slade, the non-dumbed down heroics) they're just going to make it consist of the crap (the anime inspired humor, Jokes, and running gags). Yeah, I'll just stick to YJ for my DC needs.

I heard about Teen Titans unearthing itself from the grave as a series of animated shorts a while ago. My reaction then was the same as it is now:

HAWWWWW HAW HAW HAWWWWWWW

Teen Titans was easily my favorite show when I was a teenager, but its time came and went a looooong time ago. This just feels...unnatural and weird.
