MOCKER'S NOTE: Faithful Hearts/Faith of the Heart is on its forth and dullest incarnation. This time Marina is a widow and Donald has a different weapon, but like Dominic Deegan it's gotten so dull and bad (and not in an amusing or so-bad-it's-good way) that it's not even worth mocking any more. Since John the Enforcer hasn't done any more of his fanfic of her fanfic in a while, I needed something new to mock.
That's when I came across this series. For those of you who don't know, Jackie Chan Adventures was a celebrity-based cartoon where Jackie Chan's younger cartoon-counterpart was an archeologist who helps out at his Uncle's antique shop and takes care of his feisty, fangirl niece (Jade). It was a good show with fun characters (though Jade started becoming a Mary-Sue in the later seasons) and combine it with one of those writers who like to post lots of pictures of their OC and their fictional crush and I'm sure I'll be in for some fun. Anyway, on to the story... To Love You Chapter 1 The Sun broke through the clouds for a moment over San Francisco. The asylum looked a little cheerier when the sun hit its windows, but not by much. Yep, the birds were signing, the inmates had more joy in cutting themselves... A girl sat at her windowsill, looking out onto the streets and business of the city. Her hair was a lovely orange, From the time she thought putting a bucket of paint over her head would make her herpes go away. and her eyes were the color of the sea. She was pale, for she did not go outside often. Her name was Sarah, and she had lived in this asylum since she was 5 years old. Now at the age of 25, she wondered if she would ever leave this place. She was never told what happened to her parents, whether she abandoned or they were dead. All she knew was that she was not wasn't a 'normal' girl, and she did not belong anywhere because of that fact. *Runs off, beats-up Obscurous Lupa for her Snow Dress and puts it on.* Oh boy! Generic Disney-eske song about never being outside is coming. Sarah was, in simplest terms, psychic. She could move things with her mind, small things only. She could also locate something in another room, or even another country. She couldn't read minds, she wasn't like most psychics you read about in comics and such. She was just..a freak, and an asylum was the only place for someone like her. Or conventions, but the thought of dateless geeks rubbing up against her seems a little cruel. She always assumed her parents left her here. Why would they want her after all? To make the readers feel bad/disgusted at her. It was a bit disturbing when a 5 year old woke up in the middle of the night, screaming about something she could see happening across the country. Sarah let a few tears fall. It helped at times. "Sarah?" a voice from her doorway broke her away from her thoughts. "..yes?" Sarah answered softly as she turned her head to face the door. One of the kinder attendees stood in her doorway. He only beat her when she actually did something wrong. A larger woman, with dark brown hair and kind eyes. Her name was Ann, and she was one of Sarah's favorites. "A gentlemen is here to take you, dear girl." the woman said, and a gentle smile came to her face. "He'll take you from this place to live with him." Ann: His name is Ed Gein and I know he'll take good care of you. Sarah's expression turned to shock. "..I'm..I'm sorry, Miss Ann?" she asked as she looked to her. The woman smiled bigger at her. "Sarah, you're released from the asylum," she said softly. Sarah blinked, trying to collect her thoughts and regain them. Take me away from here? To live somewhere like a normal person? Was this really happening? "He is waiting to meet you, sweetheart," Ann said as she walked a few steps toward Sarah. Ann: He said something about finally being able to bang someone that doesn't cause yaoi-obsessed girls to giggle like maniacs. Sarah looked up to Ann again, and she smiled softly. "Thank you..Miss Ann," she said sweetly. Ann beamed at her and she took Sarah by the hand. "Let's go meet him together shall we?" she said happily. Sarah nodded at her excitedly and squeezed Ann's hand. This was incredibly exciting, and terrifying all at the same time. Sarah had honestly thought she would never get to to leave this place. Come on, where's that Disney-eske song I've been expecting. She was certain she would remain here, with the mentally ill and the other freaks. She never dreamed of a life outside of these walls, and it made her heart pound to think that she could live somewhere else. Ann and Sarah came to the office of the warden, and Ann took Sarah in. They found the warden talking to a rather handsome gentleman. He had long hair that was pulled into a ponytail, and it was a a soft platinum blonde. He was not old, but looked to be no more that 30 years of age. His eyes were of the purest ice-blue, and his face was dashing and gentlemanly. In case you're wondering, this is not Sarah's future love interest who her creator will be drawing sex pics of that will hurt her husband's feelings. Sarah had never seen a more handsome man, and she could feel her cheeks flush. She wondered why such a man would be asking to take her. "Ah! Miss Janise!" the warden began as he looked up to see her int he doorway. "May I introduce you to your long lost cousin, Mr. Valmont!" he said as he gestured to the silver-haired man. Valmont flashed a dashing smile at Sarah, which made her blush even deeper and look to the ground. "He is taking you to live with him, and he is very wealthy!" the warden said excitedly. "Isn't that wonderful, Miss Janise?" the warden said. Sarah nodded shyly, affirming what the warden had said. She looked at Valmont, and smiled politely. "Good morning, sir," she said sweetly. Sarah: Now watch me screw this up royally by just being myself. "And a good morning to you too, my girl," Valmont replied with the same charming smile. He rose from his seat and walked towards her. "I am so very happy to have found you! You see, I am a very wealthy man, but I am also very lonely, and I thought I had no family. It thrills my heart to find I have a beautiful cousin to be my heir of my fortune!" he took Sarah's hands into his. Is it just me or does the dialogue seem off? "I am...I am very happy too," Sarah replied softly. Her head was spinning now. She had a long lost cousin? How did he find her? Why did he want her to be his heir? Did he not know of her 'gift'? "I am..sorry," Sarah began softly. "But..do you not know why I am here in this asylum?" Sarah asked Valmont. She couldn't help but ask. Valmont chuckled. "Oh my dear girl, I know it seems to good to be true," he began, still smiling at her. Valmont: But I'm taking you to a Pig Party and you're my chance at getting first prize. "But I have talked to the warden, and he believes you are well enough to be released. Into the care of a family member, he is certain, as am I, that you will be quite alright," Valmont concluded, and his eyes were very kind. Sarah looked into his eyes, searching for another reason, or perhaps a better lie. This was still hard for her to believe. But it did mean freedom from the crazy house, whether for good or ill. We already know that from the last sixty times you mentioned it. And in all truth, that's all Sarah wanted at this point. She smiled at Valmont happily. "Then I am overjoyed and forever in your debt," she said kindly. Valmont chuckled. "It is I who am blessed," he said cheerfully. If you count red guys with pointy horns and long tails being involved. Sarah released Valmont's hands and turned to the warden. "May I go pack my things now," she asked the warden politely. "Yes, of course, Sarah," the warden nodded. "We will finish up the paperwork and Ann will come get you." "Thank you, Warden Johnstone," Sarah nodded, as she turned toward the door. She walked out briskly, still with a look of doubt on her face. Was this really happening? How did this 'cousin Valmont' find her? And why did he want to take her under his care, knowing full well of her...'gift'? She was so wound up up in her thoughts, she didn't look where she was going. And right into the path of a bullet fired by the loony who thinks he's the Angel of Death. She ran into someone and stumbled back. "Oof!" she cried out. "I'm so sorry!" she began to apologize. "Ah, don't worry about it," came a young man's voice. Young Man: I pretended you were a four-year-old boy and it felt much better. Sarah looked at him for a second longer than she should have. But Sarah couldn't really help it, he was cute. He had dark red hair cut nicely. He wore a white 70's style suit. And his eye were of the deepest green. Yay! It's Finn! Boo, he's been dragged into this. "Uh," Sarah began to stutter, and fix her hair without thinking. "I'm very sorry. My head was in the clouds," she laughed nervously "Hey no problem," said the man. "I've had days like that," he said, and he flashed a smile at her. Sarah felt her cheeks get warm, the man's smile faded a bit, and he looked as if he was noticing her now for the first time. "Hey there," he started again, and this time his grin was flirtatious. "I'm Finn," he said, and he offered his hand. Sarah smiled sheepishly.. To be fair, Finn does have a tendency to flirt with quasi-attractive women (AKA skanks who aren't half as pretty as me) so I'll not count this as a Sue-Trait. "I'm Sarah," she said and she extended her hand to meet his. They held each others hand for a moment, and smiled at each other sweetly. They were interrupted by two other men who walked up to them. "Hey Finn," a deep voice said. "Where's the gal we're supposed to pick up from here? Tohru is asking where to pull the car up." Finn and Sarah blinked and woke up. Yippie! A long, boring welcoming sequence. Haven't had one of those in a while. ."Oh uh," Finn stuttered. "I dunno, Ratso," Finn said as he turned from Sarah to face the man who spoken. Sarah looked over Finn's shoulder and saw two men. The man who had spoken was tall, and he was dressed in a black suit. His hair was short and black, and he had a small bandage across his nose. The other man was much shorter than the other gentleman. He also had black hair, But it wasn't his. and he wore large, orange sunglasses. He didn't wear a suit, however he had a black leather jacket, slacks, and a black shirt. Sarah smiled kindly at them both. "Who is it that you're looking for?" she asked them. Finn turned back to face Sarah and he chuckled. "Well, we're not sure," he said shrugging. "Ratso, did Big V say what the gal's name was?" Finn asked. xoxjoanxox "Uh.." Ratso stammered. "Sarah," the man wearing sunglasses interrupted. "Her name was Sarah Janise." "Oh!" Sarah face lit up. "I'm Sarah Janise!" she said happily. "Are you three with Mr. Valmont?" The three men looked at each other for a second, as if they were trying to remember what to say. Finn: *pushes Chow* You say you're her designated love-interest. Chow: *pushes him back* No, you do it! "Erm," Finn finally spoke. "Yeah. Yeah we're with Mr. Valmont," he grinned. "We're a - a part of his um..his..er.." Gay male harem. he started to trail off. "Are you his body guards or something?" she asked. She was only half serious. "Uh..Yeah!" Finn said happily. "We're his body guards and all that!" Sarah found it a little hard to believe Mr. Valmont needed three body guards, especially at an asylum. She gave them all a doubtful look, but it faded and she smiled at them again. Even if they weren't who they said who they were, she liked them all. She liked Finn especially. "So," Finn started, "You're the gal we've been looking for," he said with a smirk. Sarah bit her lip and nodded. I'll leave it at here for the time being. This post has been edited by Yaoi Huntress Earth: Mar 20 2012, 07:14 PM -------------------- |

The Insomnia Fairy has extracted some vengeance upon me for my many multiple sins so I decided to kill some time by posting the rest of the chapter.
"Well, good to know.." Finn trailed off with a smile. Sarah gasped suddenly. "I have to go pack!" she said hurriedly. "Oh sorry!" Finn said raising his hands in apology. "I don't have much," Sarah said. Sarah: Just the skulls of my former roommates. "I'll just go get that stuff." "We can help ya!" Ratso offered. Sarah smiled at him. "Well, thank you. That is very sweet." Finn shot a 'that should've been my idea' glare at Ratso for a second. Which he returned with the 'I don't give a shit, virgin-boy' look. "My room is down the hall," Sarah said pointing in that direction. After they collected Sarah's things, they headed back to the wardens office. "Hello again, miss Sarah," Valmont greeted her as she walked in the office door. "Hello again," Sarah said kindly. "I have packed my things and am ready to leave," she said politely. Valmont: Aww, and I wanted to drag this story out even more! "Very good, Miss Janise," the warden said with a nod. "Then I believe we are done. Mr. Valmont, Sarah is in your custody and care," he announced. Valmont looked at Sarah with an endearing air. "How wonderful," he said with a cheerful grin. Sarah smiled nervously at him in return. They began to head for the main doors, and Sarah was once again lost in her thoughts. She was both excited, and scared. She had never heard from this 'cousin', until today! And he shows up, out of the blue, and whisks her away to his home. To have freaky incest with. As they turned a corner, Sarah heard a very deep voice. "I am looking for Mr. Valmont. He was here to adopt a young girl. Do you know where he is?" "Ah! Tohru!" Valmont shouted as they turned the corner. Sarah's eyes grew wide. Sarah: This is the guy I'm going to be stuck with? Standing there with one of the nurses was a giant of a man. He was at least nine feet tall and was oriental, Japanese Sarah thought. His hair was pulled back into a pony tail. His arms were huge, and he had the build of a sumo wrestler. He wore a white sleeveless shirt, and a dark brown jumpsuit. Sarah stared at him for a moment, and then the man's eyes met hers. She quickly dropped her gaze. "Tohru!" Valmont began again. "You didn't have to come looking for me you know." Valmont: You'd think that after the 60th time I told you to feck off, you'd finally get the point. "I was growing bored of waiting in the car," Tohru said. "This was taking too long," he gestured at Sarah, and his tone seemed of annoyance. Sarah kept her eyes on the ground. She was timid to say anything in the presence of this giant. She would confess to anyone that she was frightened of him. He seemed quite mean, but perhaps he was just pissed about the current situation. Sarah smirked sarcastically to herself. 'Nope, pretty sure he's just pissed off in general.' she said to herself. Valmont sighed with disapproval. "Tohru," he began, shaking his head. "I told you it may take a while." And it would take more time than it would to count on his fingers and that's not counting all the times he gets confused and start over again. Tohru was silent for a moment, then his angry expression faded and he nodded in submission. "You are right, Master,"he acknowledged. "I am sorry." Sarah found herself looking at Tohru for a moment. When his anger faded, she noticed that he had very noble features. And when his voice became softer, she thought to herself that she would like to hear it again. "Ah well," Valmont began, waiving his hand dismissively. "Shall we to the car then?" he asked, turning to Sarah. "It's time we took you to your new home." Sarah smiled graciously at Valmont. Sarah: Please emasculate him again, please. "Oh yes," she nodded. "that would be lovely," she said, and she let her eyes wander to Tohru. Their eyes met for the second time, and this time, Tohru looked at her with a curious look in his eyes. Sarah let a small smile come to her face, and Tohru quickly looked away. Tohru's fear of "eye-cooties" had always prevented him from pursuing a meaningful relationship. "The car is just outside, Master," Tohru announced, resuming his duties. "Ah, thank you Tohru," Valmont said. They all made their way outside to the car, and Sarah looked back at the asylum for a moment. She was thankful to get out of this place, but at the same time, she was frightened to leave her comfort zone. She had no idea where her life was going from here. but for better or worse, she was leaving the asylum and starting a new life. Finn jumped in front of Sarah and opened the car door for her. He flashed a smile at her as he did this. Sarah smiled sweetly back at him and entered the car. Once they were all in the limo, Tohru began driving. Valmont leaned back in his seat. And quickly stuffed away the dead hooker that was still inside. "So, Sarah, I am certain you are curious as to why your long-lost cousin suddenly found you. Then takes you away from the asylum you were put in. Not to mention, all of the 'body guards' in my service," he said as he gestured to Finn and the others. Sarah smirked. "I confess I was suspicious from the start," she answered. Valmont smirked. He leaned forward and folded his hands. "Sarah," he began. "I know the true reason you were placed in that asylum." And why to this day Santa Claus still wakes up screaming every night. Sarah's face turned pale, and he expression turned to panic. "You..you know.." she tried to speak. "...how..." "I have friends everywhere my dear," Valmont said. "Your warden, Mr. Johnstone, has been watching you and your 'condition' progress over these years. He has kept me informed over the past few years, of what has become of your 'gift'. You see, I am one of those people who believes that abilities like yours are nothing to be ashamed of or hidden. Now exploitation, that's perfectly fine. They are to be used, exercised, and to be profitable," he said with a grin. Sarah looked at him very puzzled. "So," she began "the warden watched me since I came to that horrible place. He monitored my powers, and told you when I was 'ripe' to use them?" as she finished, her expression changed to anger. "When I thought the 'treatments' were making things worse instead of better..they were really just tests or something?!" she raised her voice as she listened to the words she was saying. It brought everything to light, and it hurt to hear spoken aloud. The realization of what had really been happening all of those years made Sarah clench her fists and her teeth. Finn noticed this and moved closer to her. "Heeey," he cooed. "Don't think of it like that!" Just consider him being "concerned for your future economic status." Sarah looked at him and began to relax again. He was being so kind to her, and she seemed to actually care that she was upset. "Yes. Do not think of it that way," Valmont said coolly. Both Sarah and Finn looked to Valmont. "Sarah," Valmont said, taking her hand in his. "You possess a rare and wonderful gift! It is no a curse when used the proper way!" he said adamantly. Like murder, extortion and bending really hot guys to my will. Sarah looked at him, and was comforted by his words somehow. Even though she had felt like a guinea pig a moment ago, she also felt unique and prized, knowing that this man had been waiting until she was a perfect form of her power. "I.." she began. "I am honored that you feel this way about my 'gift', Valmont. I apologize for my earlier resentful remark," she apologized, nodding her head in respect towards him. Valmont smiled at him tenderly. "It's quite alright, Dear," he said. "Now then," he began, and he let go of her hand and leaned back in his seat. "It's time I told you what I need for you to do for me," he grinned slyly. And it involves the three previously mentioned things. Sarah smiled back at him with intrigue. "Yes," she answered. "what exactly am I to do for you?" she asked. "I am, well how would I put it, I am a collector in rare and valuable merchandise," Valmont said, straightening his tie. Valmont: Like these ugly, over-price chromium trading cards from the mid-90's. "However, I do not purchase items I desire. I take them from their previous owners and re-sell them to other men in my business at a much higher price," he smiled slightly. "So.." Sarah began, as if she was still processing his words in her head. "You're a..crime lord?" she asked, as if scared to hear the answer. "Oh my," Valmont said with a chuckle. "You're a smart girl," he said. "Yes, that is what I am. And Finn, Ratso, and Chow are my henchmen. Mr. Tohru is my right hand man," Valmont said, and he gestured to Tohru who was driving the limo. "Wave, Tohru," Valmont said jesting. Tohru looked in the rear view mirror and grunted at Valmont. Valmont chuckled. "That's Tohru for you. All business and no fun at all," he said. Sarah looked up to the mirror for a moment. Tohru was looking at her. She smiled meekly at him, and his gaze quickly returned to the road. Granted that when the main woman in your life is a crotchety midget you call mommy, the rest of their gender would scare you. "You shouldn't be so cold to Sarah, Tohru." Valmont scolded. "After all, you'll be a body guard of sorts for her," he said. Both Sarah and Tohru looked at Valmont in surprise. "Master?!" Tohru said with shock. Sarah kept her eyes on Valmont, waiting to hear his reasons for having the one person who didn't seem to like her be her guard. To create contrived sexual tension. "Honestly, Tohru," Valmont scoffed. "Did you think that I would have anyone else besides my best man protect my most valuable asset?" he asked rhetorically. "If something were to happen to dear Sarah, I don;t know what I would do!" he said, with a mock of worry in his tone. Sarah began to dislike the way Valmont was portraying her. 'Most valuable asset?' He had seemed rather kind to her for a criminal so far, but now, referring to her as an object made her a little worried. Then again, he was a crime lord, so why should she think he would treat her well? Ok, everyone...Show don't tell! "Granted Sarah will stay with me for most of the missions. But on the missions she needs to direct you to the item, you will protect her with your life, Tohru. Is that understood?" Valmont ordered. His face was stern and his brow lowered. Sarah couldn't help but raise her eyes to the mirror. Tohru was looking at Valmont, and his eyes were cold. "Yes...Master," Tohru said obediently. Sarah's eyes went to the floor. "Tohru already hates me," she thought to herself. "What a great way to start off with your body guard." she said sarcastically to herself. "We are here," Tohru announced. "Ah," Valmont sighed. "Sarah? Allow us to show you your new home," he said happily. -------------------- |

Chapter 2
Sarah looked out of the limo window and her eyes grew wide with wonder. The building was several stories high, at least 50 floors. "This is, all of yours?" Sarah asked softly. "Well, the 43rd story is," Valmont chuckled. Which is perfect to tying a noose made of a bed sheet around her neck, throwing her out a window and making it look like a suicide. "I don't own the whole building though perhaps I soon will." Valmont said with a smirk. Sarah looked to him for a moment, then back at the building. She wondered if she could really meet Valmont's expectations. Or just bang him like everyone else does. Just then, she felt Finn's hand on her shoulder. "You okay?" he asked softly. Sarah looked at him and smiled sweetly. "Yeah, I'm fine...Finn," she said his name softly. And Finn smiled at her in response. "Miss Sarah," Tohru's voice broke the moment, and Sarah looked up at him in the limo's doorway. "Please, follow me," he requested. And to Sarah's great surprise, he lifted his giant hand to help her out. Sarah stared at his hand for a second, then she put her tiny hand into his. Tohru clasped it gently, and helped her out of the limo. His hand was so warm, And sticky. and his grip was not hard. Sarah found herself quite enjoying holding his hand, and didn't let go until he did, which was at least two minutes. Finn watched this and pouted. He was going to help her out of her seat! Because she never learned to do it herself. He followed quickly behind and ran up next to them both. "Allow me, miss Sarah," Finn said as he opened the building door for her. "Oh!" Sarah said, "Why thank you, Finn," she replied happily. She smiled at Finn as she headed through the door, but she turned to look behind her and saw Tohru. She smiled at him too, to the surprise of herself. Tohru looked to the ground and kept his face emotionless. Sarah's smile faded quickly, and she looked forward. She had been afraid of Tohru when she first saw him. But he held her hand just a moment ago, the fact that he had held it with suchcare made her no longer fearful. Sarah admitted to herself that she was beginning to like the idea of him being her guard. 'But he seems to hate me still,' she thought to herself. And that made her miserable. The author tells instead of shows. And that made me miserable. "Up the elevator please," Valmont yelled to his henchmen, and Sarah went in with Finn and the others. Tohru took a seperate one. Finn listened to the terrible elevator music for a few minutes, then he turned to Sarah. "So," he began with a charming smile. "You uh, excited about all this?" he asked, and Sarah could hear the hint of nervousness in his voice. She gave him a shrug and a small smile. "I guess so," she said. "I'm not really okay with working for a crime lord, but I guess I should be grateful I've found a place that appreciates my gift. Guess I should feel special," she sighed. "You are special," Finn said softly, and he paused to stare at her for a moment. Like the bus she takes to school Sarah looked at him with surprise. It wasn't that she was offended, she was just caught off guard by such a sweet remark. Especially a man she had just met. Finn immediately dropped hid gaze and started fiddling with his hair. "Erm, I mean....uh"-"It's fine, Finn," Sarah interrupted him quietly. Finn looked at her again, she was smiling. "Thank you," Sarah said softly. Finn smiled back. God, this is getting annoying. "You're welcome," he replied quietly. They exited the elevator to be greeted by Tohru. Sarah looked up ti him and smiled meekly. "Miss Sarah, follow me," Tohru said, and he gestured to his left. "Relax, Big T," Finn snickered. "You don't have to be her chaperone or somethin'. Just guard her on missions." Tohru looked at Finn for a moment, and smirked, the first hint of a smile Sarah had seen from him. "My apologies, Finn," Tohru smirked. "Would you prefer I leave her to you and your poor pick-up lines?" Finn: Hey, "According to my invisible watch, you're not wearing underwear" is not a bad line! Sarah didn't mean to be mean, but she let a giggle go,a nd she quickly pretended to clear her throat. Finn glared fiercely at Tohru. Then he smirked. "At least I know some good ones. You've probably never even HAD a girl to ask out," he snickered. Does it count if they have fake tits and really suck at tucking? Sarah was unsure what would happen next, and she didn't want to see where it would go. She watched as Tohru's smile left and was replaced by a scoul. "You guys comin' or what?" came Ratso's voice from behind Tohru. "Yes, Ratso," Sarah replied eagerly. She stepped away from Finn and passed Tohru to follow Ratso. Tohru and Finn watched her for a moment, then Finn hurried off after her. Tohru stood there for a moment. What happened just now? Why did he care if he escorted this girl or not? He'd not cared about such things before, why now? Except for a rabbit named George and he hugged him and loved him and squeezed him... He shook his head clearing his mind, and began to walk after them.. Finn caught up with Sarah and Ratso. Valmont was walking in front of them all. He came to two big doors, and they opened for him. Sarah entered the room with Ratso and Finn at her side, and she looked around in awe. The room was huge and very nicely furnished. The windows were as big as the walls, but they were tinted. Sarah looked at all the expensive things, as if never seeing so many in one place. "Miss Sarah?" Tohru's soft voice startled Sarah, and she quickly lookep up to him. "May I show you to your room?" Tohru asked, a formal look on his face. Sarah smiled sweetly. "Yes, thank you," she said quietly. Right now, I'm really wishing for Chris Tucker's character from the Rush Hour movies to come in and set Black people back by a good fifty years. Tohru smiled politely and gestured to his right. Finn noticed Sarah leaving with Tohru, and he quickly went over to where they were. "I'll show you too!" Finn said cheerfulyy. Tohru glared at Finn in annoyance. But Sarah smiled at Finn kindly. "Sure Finn," she said. "You can both escort me," she turned towards the door. She gestured for them to go ahead of her. Tohru and Finn looked at each other for a moment, then began to head down the hallway. Sarah followed Finn and Tohru down the huge hallway. Sarah noticed that the hallway was not nearly as decorative as the huge room they had just left. There were no huge pieces of art on the hall walls, just a few small pictures here and there. Tohru and Finn stopped at the end of the hall, and Tohru pulled out some keys and unlocked the door. Then threw the Mary-Sue who was already in there out on her ass. "Your room, miss Sarah," he announced as he gestured for her to walk through the door. "Thank you, Mr. Tohru," Sarah said respectfully as she walked through. "Tohru," Tohru said suddenly. Sarah paused and looked up at him. "Just..Tohru," he said quietly, and his expression was soft and gentle for only a second, before he resumed his distant and solemn gaze. "Thank you..Tohru.." Sarah said again, and she felt her cheeks flush as she said his name so informally. She couldn't explain her reaction just then. It's called an "over-used moment that makes me want to break things." "And you can just call me Finn," Finn interjected, trying to break up what he felt was an awkward moment. Sarah blinked as if to wake up, and she looked at Finn. "Sure..Finn," she said softly, and she smiled sweetly at him. Finn grinned confidently, and he gestured for her to look around. Sarah gasped as she took in all that was there. There was a charming canopy bed with soft pink sheets, and a dresser and vanity were against the left wall. They were dark wood, and they had cherry blossoms painted all over them. The windows were wall windows, with gorgeous purple curtains. And there was a huge stuffed bear, with a few other stuffed animals with it. Sarah's expression was one of delight and amazement. She had never had such wonderful things before. Then Sarah saw piles of clothing on the bed. Sarah squealed with delight and ran over to the bed. Finn chuckled. Finn: And to think I was actually interested in her. "And I think she digs her new place," he said grinning. Sarah picked up a dress and held it up against her. She danced around happily. "Oh Tohru! Finn!" she giggled. "These are all so beautiful!" she exclaimed. She twirled around for only a moment more, then realized Finn and Tohru were just watching her dance. They seemed uncertain what to do. So they opted to pretend they were in a Disney animated movie and mentally undress her without laughing. "Oh goodness," Sarah said bashfully. "I'm sorry you two. I didn't mean to just dance around like a silly child," she apologized, her eyes going to the floor. "No! No!" Finn interjected. "Don't apologize, Baby Doll! You...deserve the prettiest dresses we can find," Finn said soflty, and he smiled at her sweetly. Tohru remained silent, he didn't know how to compliment her, or if he even should. I suggest: "You look just like Divine", "Only slightly less skanky than you usually look" and "It's cute that you're trying not to look ugly and you almost succeeded." Aw man, I liked this cartoon. It's fresh in my mind too, cos my little brother found it on Netflix and marathoned through the entire thing.
But wow, those pictures. Yikes. There's being a fan, being a fangirl, being an obsessive fangirl, and then there's whatever that is. And this has to be one of the Mariest of Sues that ever Sued. If you ran her through the Litmus test, it would probably break. QUOTE She was certain she would remain here, with the mentally ill and the other freaks. What a bitch. -------------------- Grammar is the difference between "knowing your shit" and "knowing you're shit."

Mar 22 2012, 10:52 PMAw man, I liked this cartoon. A JCA marathon sounds cool. I understand your feelings about the pics. Granted there are fictional characters I would date or at least make-out with if they were real, but that is pretty nuts. I have a friend or two who have done the whole OC/Cannon character thing, but even they don't go as far as drawing softcore sex pics. And the fact that her obsessing over Tohru bothers her own husband and makes him feel inadequate. Also what is it that if the OC is with an unattractive, heavy-set character, they have to get all emo about any positive female attention they get? I did run Sarah through the test with what I've skimmed through with the fic and got from pics in the gallery, she got a score of 65. Marina Seadrift (especially in the second edition of Faithful Hearts) is still worse. Anyway, here's the rest of chapter 2. Sarah smiled at Finn and Tohru, and she felt her cheeks flush again. "Oh Sarah! Finn! Tohru!" Valmont's voice came from down the hall. "Here, Master," Tohru called back, turning to face the hall. "Ah! Here you all are!" Valmont said he clasped his hands. "Sarah, my dear girl, how do you like your room?" Valmont asked as he walked up to her. Sarah: It smells like dead hookers. "I love it, Mr. Valmont," Sarah replied shyly. "It's all so much more than I ever had before! Thank you so very much," she said happily. Valmont smiled kindly.'"I am so very happy you love it," he said happily. "And now, I need you to demonstrate exactly why I have taken you under my wing," he said, his voice lowering. Valmont: Please stop unbuttoning your blouse, Sarah. Sarah's smile faded, and a look of disappointment came across her face. "Oh..." she began softly. "Yes..of course," she nodded. Valmont grinned slyly. "That's a good girl," Valmont whispered. He gestured for Tohru and Finn to follow them out of the room. As Sarah passed Tohru out the door, Tohru looked at her with what seemed to be worry. Valmont had not informed any of his henchmen as to what exactly Sarah could do. He was too busy looking forward to them thinking she's a witch and burning her at the stake. All Valmont had said was that Sarah would make their business much easier, and make them very wealthy. They entered the large room they had been in before, and the huge screen TV in the corner had an image of a very beautiful vase. Ratso and Chow were already in the room, and they stood in front of the tv. "Now that we are all here," Valmont said as he walked to the screen. "I would like Sarah to demonstrate for us why she will make our lives of crime much easier." As in screw them over during their greatest moment of triumph. Valmont gestured for Sarah to step forward and take his hand. Sarah came over to him slowly and put her hand into his as he led her to face the screen. "Alright Sarah," Valmont said with a confident smile. "This is the item I wish to commode-re," he said slyly. "Will you please locate it for me?" Sarah looked up at the screen and began to stare at it intently. "Give me a moment," she said softly. "Take all the time you need my dear," Valmont replied with a courteous nod. Sarah closed her eyes tightly and breathed deeply. She stood very still for a few moments, then her head jerked back and she trembled. Tohru watched with great concern. Suddenly, Sarah stopped trembling. She became still again, and her eyes remained shut. Ok, so she had a seizure? Big whoop. "The Elizabethan palace vase is on the 3rd floor of the museum," she said in monotone. "It is guarded by four security guards, every night," she continued. Tohru and the others looked at each other with concern and confusion. What was she doing? Was the gift she had some sort of telepathy or something like that? "There is a 10 minute gap between the guard's shifts at 3 am every night. It is a laser security system, so the vase must be accessed through the ceiling. There are four exits on the 3rd floor, and one is directly down the hall from the exhibit," she said. Valmont smiled slyly. "Is there anything else I should know, Sarah?" he asked calmly. Sarah: Your parents are brother and sister. "No," Sarah replied, her voice still emotionless. "Very well," Valmont acquiesed. Then Sarah swayed, and she began to fall backward. Tohru had been standing close to Sarah, and he saw her began fall. "Miss Sarah!" he exclaimed,a nd he caught her in his arms. Sarah blinked and moaned softly. She opened her eyes and blinked a few times. She looked up and saw Tohru looking down on her with concern. "...Tohru...?" she said softly. Tohru was about to smile at her, when Valmont took her by the hand and pulled her out of Tohru's arms. "Wonderful! Absolutely marvelous, my girl!" he said happily. "You truly are a wonder!" Valmont: You and 700 other fanfiction Sues can do the same thing. Sarah smiled weakly at Valmont. "Thank you..Mr. Valmont," she said as she smoothed her hair. She looked up to Tohru, and then to Finn and the others. "Don't worry," she said with a kind yet tired smile. "I'm fine, really. My gift just takes a lot out of me," she said breathlessly. Tohru did not seem convinced, and neither were the others. "But, Miss Sarah..." Tohru began softly as he stepped closer to her. "I assure you, Tohru," Valmont said sternly, and Tohru stopped to look at Valmont. "She is fine," he said, and his eyes were cold. Enough to freeze his eyelids and make them fall off. Tohru looked to the ground. "Yes, Master. My apologies," Tohru said meekly, and he took a few steps away from Sarah. "Gentlemen, Sarah is what we would call a 'Seeker'," Valmont began as he stood beside Sarah. "She possesses the power of telepathy and teleconesis. Gifts she has honed in the asylum, despite the accusations of simply being insane," Valmont said with a smile at Sarah. Sarah returned the smile. Does this girl do anything other than blush, smile, giggle and moor over obese guys? "Yes," she said, and she chuckled a bit. "My parents thought I was simply insane and delusional when I began to have visions and such. So they dropped me off at the nearest crazy house,"she finished. And though she laughed, the boys could see a deep pain in her eyes. "But I discovered her there," Valmont said proudly. "and the rest is history." he grinned. "Sooo," Finn began shyly. "Can you see the future, Baby Doll? He asked, half in jest. "Yeah!" Ratso said excitedly. "Can you read minds?!" Sarah giggled at them. Sarah: God, they're stupid. "No, I can't do anything cool like that," she answered smiling at them. "But in time, and with training," Valmont said with a confident smirk. "She just might." Sarah blushed and smiled timidly. Tohru did not smile, for he wondered just what sort of training Valmont had in mind for Sarah.. It began to bother him that Valmont was so proud and confident in Sarah's gift that he didn't seem to think of Sarah as anything else but his new toy. Tohru caught himself wondering why he cared so much about what happened to her. Perhaps because Sarah didn't treat him like a monster for being so huge And eating souls of the homeless. , but rather smiled at him and no longer showed any fear of him. He never wanted to see her cry or be hurt, that was all he knew. "Well," Valmont said, happily clasping his hands. "Now since we have seen Sarah in action, it's time for my henchmen to do their part. Gentlemen, we strike at 2:45 am tonight," he grinned. "Please prepair your equipment and make your blueprints." "You got it, Big V," Finn said with a nod. All of the henchmen were heading toward the door, when Valmont spoke again. "Oh, Sarah," he said intriguingly. Sarah turned to face Valmont, and the boys stopped to hear what he would say. "How would you like to go with my men tonight?" he asked with a grin. "I...well I.." Sarah stuttered. Although she didn't agree with thieving or anything Valmont had done so far, she enjoyed Finn, Ratso, Chow, and Tohru. She wanted to be around then as much as she could be, and it actually sounded quite exciting to her. Yeah, screw the fact that she has no fighting, technical or thieving experience. "Would you like that, my dear?" Valmont asked again, as he leaned forward towards Sarah. "Yes," Sarah finally blurted. "Yes I...I would!" she nodded excitedly, smiling at Valmont. "Wonderful!" Valmont said happily. "This way, you can hone your skills even more by directing my men when they are actually there," he concluded. "And wouldn't that make it more fun, gentlemen? You can go and save her ass, thus giving Jackie Chan more opportunities to kick your butts. And Tohru can start right away at being Sarah's guardian!" Valmont said cheerfully, gesturing to Tohru. Tohru's expression was of great surprise. "But..M-Master," he stuttered. Tohru: Even I think this ideas is stupid. He was already not liking the idea of Sarah coming along, because it could become dangerous very quickly. And he was still baffled that Valmont would even suggest takiong Sarah with them! "Oh come off it, Tohru!" Valmont said dismissively. "I already told you you would be her guardian if ever she was out of my view! Honestly, you act as if she's an infant! Well, that could explain the diapers and the need to still be breastfed. I am fairly certain she can take care of herself," he said chuckling. "I know, Master, but" - "Oh just do it!" Valmont snapped. "Just take her hand and lead her around!" he huffed as he walked over to Tohru and shoved Sarah's hand into Tohru's. Tohru stood there and awkwardly stared at his giant hand that had swallowed Sarah's tiny one. You mean he's got that same face-thing on his like Vampire Hunter D does? Cool. Sarah stood there silently for a second, and she slowly looked up to Tohru, with a meek smile. Tohru looked at Sarah, then quickly looked away, trying not to blush. "Oh good lord Tohru! Are you blushing?!" Valmont exclaimed and he began to laugh. "My word Tohru! You act as if you've never held a girl's hand before!" Valmont laughed. Then he stopped laughing, and a look of intrigue came across his face. "You.. have held a girl's hand before, haven't you?" he asked with an intrigued grin. Valmont: HA! Virgin! Tohru's eyes fell to the floor. "N-n-no, Master," he said dejectedly. "I have not." Valmont stood there for a moment in great surprise. And before he could make a mocking remark, Sarah spoke up. "Well, I've never held the hand of a sumo before," she said, as she looked up to Tohru and shyly smiled. Tohru looked at Sarah only for a second. And in that second, Sarah saw his eyes light up with happiness. But then that second was gone, and Tohru resumed his stoic expression. "There, you see Tohru? Nothing to be afraid of!" Valmont laughed. That is until the finger-herpies kicked in. Tohru looked over to Valmont and then gently let go of Sarah's tiny hand. "It is not necessary to hold hands in any case," he said quietly. Sarah's smile faded, and she looked to the ground. "Oh fine, Tohru, don't be a sport," Valmont said chuckling. "You may all do what you wish for the rest of the evening," Valmont said. He waived them all away dismissively. Valmont: I knew I should've had Chow do it. Sure he's a registered sex-offender and has more VDs than Snooki, but still... "Sarah, explore as much as you like, my dear," Valmont said with dashing smile. And if you hear screaming with a voice that it belongs to some creepy puppet, pretend it doesn't exit. "Thank you, Mr. Valmont," Sarah nodded with a smile. "You're quite welcome, dear girl," Valmont nodded kindly. "After all, this is your home now," he said, as he gestured around him. Sarah looked around for a moment or two. "For which I am forever greatful to you for," she courtseed slightly with a happy smile. Valmont nodded and smiled. "Come on, Baby Doll!" Finn said encouragingly. "Lemme show you around the place!" He took her by the hand and gently pulled her toward the door. Sarah giggled. "Okay Finn," she said happily. Ratso and Chow followed Sarah out. So how long before they join the fanclub? "We'll come too!" Ratso said excitedly. *looks at watch* Hmmm, long than I thought they wold. Sarah turned her head back towards Tohru. "Tohru!" she said, "Will you come with us?" she asked hopefully. Tohru: If you stop acting like a dammed Disney Princess, then maybe. Tohru looked at her for a moment blankly, then nodded. "Of course, Miss Sarah," he said softly. Sarah smiled happily at him, then continued out the door with Finn. Tohru watched Sarah disappear down the hallway. Then, he looked down to the hand that had held hers. And saw a nasty rash that much to his dismay, confirmed that he was indeed alergic to women. Those few seconds of holding her hand replayed in his mind, and he remembered how she smiled at him then. Sarah was different than any other girls Tohru had known, because Sarah seemed to actually enjoy his company. Well, it would help if you didn't kill them first. He looked up towards the hallway, and headed towards it, with a small smile across his face. -------------------- |

Chapter 3
Tohru went down the hall to catch up to the others. He found them in the kitchen, where Sarah appeared to be taking inventory of the food. "Hey Big T!" Ratso greeted Tohru at the kitchen door. "What is Sarah doing exactly?" Tohru asked. Ratso: Deciding what she'll puke-out afterwards. "Oh, well, she loves to cook. So she was lookin' to see what she could make us for dinner tonight," Ratso replied happily. "We're getting' a home cooked meal!" How can she cook if she was in an asylum and labeled dangerously insane? Nobody would've let her near any sharp objects. "Yep!" Finn chimed in excitedly. "We've got a chef finally!" "I just thought that the least I could do for you guys was to cook you a good and hearty meal," Sarah said smiling as she continued to look through the cabinets. Tohru's expression was of slight surprise. "Why..thank you, Miss Sarah," he said with a small smile. "Oh, it's a pleasure!" Sarah nodded. "I love cooking! I did it every day in the asylum for the other patients. It's just a lot of fun for me," she smiled at them all as she got out some pots and pans. In other words, they just let her scrounge around in the dumpster behind the local McDonalds. "Alright, so what does everyone want for dinner? Sarah asked cheerfully. "Umm, can I have pizza?" Ratso asked. "You got it, Ratso!" Sarah nodded with a wink. "Yeah!" Ratso cheered. "How about spaghetti and meatballs?" Chow suggested. "No problem Chow!" Sarah nodded happily. "Awesome!" Chow said excitedly. "And how about you, Finn?" Sarah asked with a stirring spoon in her hand. "Uh, well," Finn thought aloud. Finn: Does human flesh count? "Maybe um....a steak?" he asked nervously. Sarah giggled. "Medium rare?" she asked with a wink. "Oh my God, you're the BEST, Baby Doll!" Finn replied excitedly. Tohru had remained at the kitchen door this whole time. Sarah walked over to him shyly. "And how about you, Tohru?" she asked smiling sweetly at him. Tohru stood there for a moment. "Oh..no, it is alright," he began quietly. "I will just eat whatever the others are having. You do not need to make anything for me," he nodded courteously. Besides, he prefers to eat whatever falls on the floor anyway. Sarah looked disappointed. "But Tohru..." she said quietly. "Ah, come on, Big T," Finn interjected as he walked up to the two of them. "she's offering you a free meal! And a good one at that!" he said winking at Sarah. Tohru looked at Finn and then to the ground thoughtfully. "Well.." he began timidly. "Miss Sarah..can you make Wu shu?" Sarah beamed at him. "Yes, Tohru, I certainly can," she said happily. Tohru was surprised she knew what that even was, and a smile came across his face. Unless I'm being extra bitch-picky today, that seems like a bit of a stretch given her past and that she has no help. "Anything else?" Sarah asked sweetly. Tohru looked to the floor once more. He wasn't used to being asked what HE wanted, especially not from such a sweet girl. "Perhaps...some chocolate chip cookies also?" he asked shyly and hopefully. "Of course!" she laughed. "It wouldn't be a good dinner without desert!" Tohru felt his ears get warm suddenly. Her sweet giggle warmed his heart, and even made him blush a bit. Perhaps because it had been such a long time since he heard a sweet girl's laughter. Now at him, that's something else. "Yay cookies!" Ratso cheered. "I love cookies, Miss Sarah!" "Well who doesn't?" Sarah smiled as started to set up the counter. "Now, I need everyone to leave the kitchen while I work my magic," she said winking at them all. Sarah: I'll sacrifice one of the illegal immigrants working in the garden to summon Satan and he'll do the work for me. "Aww, ok," Finn said with disappointment. Ratso, Finn, and Chow headed out the kitchen door. "Oh, and Tohru?" Sarah called out. Tohru was almost out of the kitchen door when he turned back towards Sarah. "I'll make enough for seconds and thirds,: she said smiling at him. She winked at him playfully. Ok, this is stretching it. "Oh..um..uh, eh heh," Tohru found himself stuttering terribly. Her wink make quite flustered. He cleared his throat and left. Sarah bit her lip and smirked to herself. She found herself wanting to please Tohru the most out of all the others. She didn't know exactly what had changed from when she met him to now, but something had. We'll he's already pretty fat so cannibalism is out of the question. Maybe it was when he held her hand in front of Valmont. The way he held it, so gently and his hand was so warm. Sarah remembered the way he looked at her then. His eyes became soft for a second, and his expression was both shy and almost fearful. For those few seconds he looked at her, Sarah saw a bashful school boy, and a very gentle heart. A few hours passed and then dinner was served. Ok, that would make some sense. Everything the boys had requested was there. Finn, Ratso, and Chow were cheering as they looked at all the food. Sarah laughed happily and asked them to all sit down. Tohru looked at all the food with a look of surprise that it was all really there. "You see, Tohru?" Sarah said beaming. "I told you I could make Wu shu." Tohru looked at her suddenly, and he smiled softly. Tohru: I appreciate the effort, but Wu shu doesn't involve spitting in the bowl and throwing in some pink food coloring. "Yes," he replied quietly. "And it looks very delicious." Sarah continued to beam with happiness at him, and Tohru could not help but continue to smile at her. "Hey Big T! Isn't this awesome!" Finn asked excitedly as he sat down next to Tohru. Tohru quickly resumed his stern composure. "Yes, it is quite nice," he nodded as he scooted his chair closer to the table. Sarah's smile faded a bit as Tohru resumed his normal composure. Sarah: How dare you stop thinking about me! It seemed Tohru was unwilling to break his 'tough guy' repose in front of the others. She was saddened because she wanted him to not think he had to be that way around her. She wanted him to know he could be her friend, not just her body guard. "This all looks so good, Miss Sarah!" Ratso said excitedly. "You're the best!" "Why thank you very much Ratso!" Sarah giggled happily. "I'm so happy you all are pleased with your dinner!" "Pleased? Try ecstatic!" Chow laughed. "We haven't had a decent meal in ages!" Really, I'm sure there are plenty of rich, older women with an Asian fetish that spring him a meal or two. "Well then, dig in!" Sarah laughed as she gestured to the food. The boys began to get started, but Ratso stopped and looked at Sarah with concern. "What're you gonna eat, Sarah?" he asked. The other three suddenly looked at her too. "Oh I made enough Wu shu for me to have some too, Ratso," Sarah replied assuredly. "I was just going to have some of that," she smiled sweetly. She made her way over to where Tohru was sitting and pulled up the chair next to him. She didn't look up to Tohru, but simply sat down. He's just not into you, pick someone else. Tohru had watched her casually sit down next to him with a curious look. He wasn't certain as to why she wished to sit next to him when there was an empty chair across from him. But at the same time, he found himself rather pleased that she was next to him, and not next to Finn. "Well hey," Ratso said happily. "You can have some of my pizza if you wanna!" he offered. "Yeah! Have some of my spaghetti too!" Chow interjected. "Yeah, and some of my steak," Finn chimed in with a grin. Sarah nodded at them all. "Well, thank you very much," she smiled. It's like second edition Marina Seadrift without the arrested development or pathological hate toward sexy women. "Besides," Finn snickered. "You might think you've made enough for both you and Big T, but you probably didn't. He can put away 4 or 5 servings at least!" he chuckled. The other boys laughed too. "Ha ha, yeah," Ratso snickered. Tohru glared at Finn. "It's no problem if he eats it all," Sarah said. "That let's me know he likes my cooking," she said as she smiled happily at Finn. Tohru's glare disappeared, and he looked at Sarah with a perplexed expression. Sarah looked up at him, and beamed. Tohru let a small smile come to his face as he looked at her. Sarah was definitely different than any girl he had known before, because she wasn't bothered by his appetite. Blah, blah, blah, I'm so unattractive and never had any positive female attention outside of mom, blah, blah, blah, will some Sue heal me? She even seemed to be encouraging him to eat, which was something he was certainly not used to hearing from anyone but his mother. "Heh, yeah ok," Finn shrugged, realizing his joke against Tohru didn't go the way he had planned. He began to eat his steak quietly. Sarah noticed his dejection and tried to cheer him up. "So how is the steak? And everything else for that matter?" she asked cheerfully. "It's awesome!" Ratso replied happily with a mouth full. "It sure is!" Chow chimed in. Sarah giggled. How much longer? "Well, I'm so glad it is!" she said gleefully. Tohru took a bite and his eyes grew wide. "What do you think, Tohru?" Sarah asked him. "This is...delicious!" he replied rather excitedly. "I'm so happy you love it!" Sarah giggled. Tohru cleared his throat and regained his stoic repose. "Um, yes..very much," he nodded to her, and he quickly looked away. Sarah's smiled remained, she she wished with all of her heart that Tohru had smiled back at her. She looked to her food and began to eat. "Now, everyone be sure to leave room for desert!" she said. The boys cheered happily. "We sure will!" Ratso said happily. Sarah chuckled. The food was gone before Sarah knew it, and the boys immediately asked where the desert was. Sarah happily got out the The rifle she used to kill then and later herself. freshly baked cookies. The boys began to eat them and they mentioned how delicious they were, even Tohru. "Chocolate chip is my favorite cookie," Sarah said cheerfully. "Mine too!" Ratso said happily. "And they're Big T's favorite too! Ain't that right Big T?" Tohru gave Ratso a surprised look. "Well, uh.." he stuttered, as he looked to the table. "Yes. They..are," he said quietly and nodded slightly. His eyes remained on the cookies. "I will have to remember that," Sarah said to herself, looking down at her cookie and smiling softly. Once they had all had their desert, they Did what every man does: slap her on the ass and tell her to do the damn dishes on her own. helped Sarah with the dishes. Sarah couldn't remember the last time she had been so happy. And if Tohru had been honest with himself, he would've realized that neither had he. Tohru had been with Valmont for five years. And in those five years, Tohru couldn't remember the last time he had wanted to laugh or smile. Sarah was a breath of fresh air they had all needed. "There's a light in her eyes.." Tohru thought to himself. "A light I have never seen before in any woman I have met." Blah, blah, blah, I now have no life or thought beyond this woman, blah, blah, blah... And when she laughed, the room seemed to light up, and it felt as if a weight was lifted for that moment. Tohru found himself becoming thankful he had been assigned to her as a body guard. He would look forward to the time he could spend with her. His thoughts were interrupted by Finn's voice calling to him. "Hey Big T!" Finn said. "You okay?" he asked. "Umm.." Tohru stuttered, collecting himself. "Yes," he answered nodding. "I am fine." "Good, cuz we gotta get our shit together for the big heist. Not to mention getting' Miss Sarah an outfit for tonight,"he said with a sly grin towards Sarah. Sarah raised an eyebrow and a curious smile came to her face. Sarah: I sure hope it has nipple clamps. "An outfit huh?" she inquired. "Yeah," Finn replied with a flirtatious grin. "Spandex..it'll be amazing," he winked. Sarah snickered. "Whatever Finn," she replied shaking her head. "Guess I better go get ready then. I'll take a nap before it all though. You four should too," she suggested, gesturing to them all. "Yeah, I guess we better," Ratso acknowledged. And with that, they each headed to their rooms. This was a rather pointless chapter. If the dinner scene was shorter or at least had some real character building outside of constantly complimenting Sarah, it would be more tolerable. -------------------- |

I'm convinced the original title to this story was "Gag Me With a Spoon", until the author realized it wasn't subtle, changed it, and then completely forgot what subtly is.
I don't have a problem with original characters in general, but the thing with Sarah is that is she neither original nor much of a character. Like you said, she's a Disney Princess. I'm surprised woodland creatures didn't dance into the kitchen to help her cook, but then, that would imply she needed help, so... -------------------- Grammar is the difference between "knowing your shit" and "knowing you're shit."

Mar 24 2012, 04:58 AMI'm convinced the original title to this story was "Gag Me With a Spoon", until the author realized it wasn't subtle, changed it, and then completely forgot what subtly is. I don't have a problem with original characters in general, but the thing with Sarah is that is she neither original nor much of a character. Like you said, she's a Disney Princess. I'm surprised woodland creatures didn't dance into the kitchen to help her cook, but then, that would imply she needed help, so... Neither do I and I had a JCA original character of my own, but I had to redo her when I found that some stuff needed work. Though she does learn the hard way that thou shalt not give a sympathy-fuck to the dim guys who can't separate sex from love. With Sarah, you're right, she's not really a character and any moments she has are very repetitive. Anyway, it's nice to have a fellow JCA fan to bash this with. Chapter 4 Tohru and Sarah walked out of the kitchen door. It's time for their execution and (pulls out axe) I get the honors. "I suppose I ought to find Valmont and ask him if I needed to know anything else about the"-"You do not need to," Tohru interrupted abruptly. Sarah looked up to Tohru with surprise. He hadn't used such a tone with her before. He sounded rather adamant, and Sarah wondered why. "But he"-"He will call on you when he needs you, miss Sarah. So if you hear the term, "Stupid Disney bitch", it's for you. You do not need to trouble him with anything," he interrupted her again, but this time it was more stoic, the tone he usually used with her. Sarah stared at him for a moment, just to search his eyes for why he had interrupted her twice. But Tohru was not looking at her anymore. His gaze was forward and he was solemn. Sarah looked to the floor, and smiled a sad smile to herself. "Alright, Tohru," she said quietly. Sarah: You're obviously bi-polar. "I won't bother him until I am called for." Tohru looked at her for a second with a softer look than before. He feared Valmont was going to use her for more than just her gift as a psycher. He knew Valmont too well, and he feared this would turn into something else. Like a happy, healthy open marriage. Valmont loved bringing women home, he did it quite often. There were times he even tried to bring women home for Tohru, telling him to live a little. And it was always the same, pay the hoar and she'll call you handsome, she'll call you anything. Or in Tohru's case dress like his mom, spank him and call him "stinky-booty." Tohru hated it, he loathed every night Valmont brought women home. Tohru: Heterosexuality? Ewwwww. And from the beginning of Sarah coming here, he wondered if she might have to serve Valmont in another way. "Tohru?" Tohru's thoughts were interrupted by Sarah's gentle voice. "Are you alright?" she asked with concern. Tohru looked down to see her worried face. "Uh..yes," he replied, clearing his throat. "Go pick out your equipment now, Finn will show you what you need." To actually be useful. Sarah nodded obediently. "Yes, Tohru." They had come to her room at this point, and she entered it. "I will come get you in two hours," Tohru told her. "Please be ready." Sarah: Hey! I can dress myself...sorta. Sarah turned to face him, and she smiled sweetly. "I will be, Tohru," she said softly. Tohru nodded to her. "Thank you, miss Sarah," he said softly, and turned towards the hallway and walked out of sight. Sarah stood in her room for moment, looking at the door of the room, where Tohru had stood moments ago. "He's so confusing," she thought to herself. "One minute he enjoys my company, and he smiles at me. The next, he's stoic, emotionless, and not even a small smile." "Hot and cold.." she whispered. *sings* You're yes and you're no. You're in and you're out...*realizes what I'm doing and starts making a noose.* Sarah took a short nap, then took a shower. She fixed her hair up to fit it under the cap. She got dressed into the skin tight suit she had been given. She laced up the boots, and put the cap on. Not more than two hours had passed before Sarah heard the knock on her door. "Miss Sarah?" Sarah heard Tohru's deep voice at her door. And like a silly school girl, her heart skipped a beat at the sound of his voice. She shook her head, chastising herself for such a reaction. "Yes, Tohru, come in," she said sweetly. She turned to face the door , and Tohru walked in. "Miss Sarah, are you ready?" he asked as he entered her room. Sarah smiled at him. "So, how do I look?" she asked, striking a pose. "Do I look like a pro thief? Tohru was quiet a moment, and he could feel his ears get warm. Her form was like that of Tom Petty in bad drag. the Grecian goddesses in old paintings. "Tohru?" Sarah asked. "Are you alright?" Tohru blinked and regained his thoughts. "Uh..yes," he answered finally. "Please, follow me," Tohru said quietly as he gestured to her. Sarah followed him silently. They headed down the long hallway, entered a small room. Lockers were along one of the walls, and equipment was shelved on the other wall across of the lockers. Finn, Chow, and Ratso were in black jumpsuits, with woolen caps just like Sarah's. They were all putting on their shoes or getting their gear sorted. Ratso: So which one are we going to use to kill Valmont and take over? Chow: Not now, Ratso! "Wow..." Sarah said aloud as she looked around the room. The boys all turned around to face Sarah, and all of their eyes widened. What followed was a banter of flattering compliments from all three men at once. And somewhere in there, Sarah heard Ratso mutter, "..boobs.." Sue trait, yippie. She blushed and giggled at them all. She wasn't used to compliments, and it tickled her. "Thanks guys," she smiled at them. "So, do I look ready to hit a museum?" she laughed. She then struck a pose. "You sure do, Baby Doll," Finn chuckled, winking at her playfully. Sarah laughed. "Thanks, Finn," she replied, and she pretended to curtsy. "Is all the equipment in the helicopter?" Tohru asked Finn, seeming unamused by Finn's open flirtations with Sarah. Everything except the crowbar needed to pry you out. Finn's smile faded, and he cleared his throat. "Yeah, Big T," he replied, his tone becoming serious. Sarah's smiled faded too, and she looked to the ground. She had meant to make Tohru laugh too, or even smile. Why wouldn't she get him to lighten up as easily as the others? "Then I will suit up and join you all in the helicopter," Tohru said as he headed towards a door at the end of the room. "Okay, Baby Doll," Finn began with a smile. "Let's head up to the copter. Could you carry that one bag over there? We'll get the rest." "Sure thing, Finn," Sarah replied smiling. They all headed up to the top of the building. Along with their black suits, the boys had painted a big black stripe across their eyes. Finn helped Sarah paint hers on when they got into the copter, as they waited for Tohru. Then painted the words, "Cock-Magnet" on her forehead. Sitting there, with Finn's face being so close to hers, it made Sarah's heart beat a little faster. She liked Tohru, she liked him a lot actually. But what if Tohru never lightened up, what if Tohru wasn't interested. You'd have to find some other character to ruin. He was making Sarah wonder if he liked her always being around. But Finn had been flirting with Sarah since they met. And it flattered Sarah, because she had not been paid much attention to in the asylum, obviously. She closed her eyes tightly when his brush got closer to her eyes. Finn chuckled and flashed a handsome grin. "I'm being careful, Baby Doll," he said softly. Sarah found herself giggling softly, but she kept her eyes closed. "Sorry, Finn. I just got a little nervous." She opened her eyes just a little bit, to see Finn smiling brightly at her. When she saw that smile, she could feel her cheeks get warm. She hadn't realized how beautiful Finn's eyes were, or how bright and full of fun they seemed. Oh would you just fuck him instead already! "What, Baby Doll?" Finn asked softly and his eyes flashed with mischief. Sarah closed her eyes again quickly. "Oh...nothing, Finn," she replied quietly. Finn smiled at her softly, and it made her stomach have butterflies. "There you go. I'm done," he said as he wiped the excess make-up onto a rag in his hands. "Thank you, Finn," Sarah said softly, smiling sweetly. Finn grinned. Finn: *singing* Finn's going to get laid. Finn's going to get laid. "You're welcome, Babe," he replied. Sarah looked at Finn for a few moments more, wanting to say something else, but she had no idea what to say next. Why did she want to say something else? Then Tohru appeared in the copter's door. He was dressed in black sweats, a cap, and the same black stripe across his face. Sarah found herself forgetting about Finn. Tohru looked rather menacing in black, but he also looked rather...sexy. *laughs so hard that I choke on my ice tea* Tohru looked at her as he got into the helicopter. His eyes looked almost worried Sarah thought, but she wasn't certain. He sat beside Sarah and strapped in. "Take us out, Chow!" he called out to Chow in the front. Chow nodded and started the chopper. The copter's arms did not make the roaring sound Sarah expected them to. Valmont must have bought a copter that made very little sound. Tohru handed Sarah a set of headphones with a microphone, and she put them on. "Can you hear me, Miss Sarah?" Tohru's voice came through the earphones. "Yes, I can," Sarah nodded, trying not to smile at the sound of his voice. She felt this was a serious situation, and she shouldn't take it lightly. "Finn?" Tohru asked, turning to Finn. Finn nodded at him confirming. So how is she going to fuck this up? Winner gets to play with my midget collection. "Ratso and Chow. Am I coming through clearly?" Tohru asked. "Loud and clear, Big T," Ratso affirmed. He was seated in the front with Chow. "Alright," Tohru affirmed, "Then I will go over the plan one more time. Tohru: I will go over the guards, get on my knees and beg them to let us have the vase. We will land the copter on the building next to the museum, the hotel. Then we will ride the cables from one building to the other. Next, I will lower Finn, Ratso, and Chow down through the roof from the opening I'll make with the lasers. Then I will lower myself and Sarah down. The movement sensitive beams will be disabled before we get there, because Finn set up the code to disable them before hand." Sarah looked at Finn with surprise and marvel. Finn winked at Sarah. Or the better idea: Have Sarah do a second reading, keep her on the roof where she will keep concentrating and report (via the headset) of any changes. Keep Torhu with her for protection and dull romantic angst. "I'm good with computers," he said. Sarah smiled. "Once we have all gotten to the floor, Chow and Finn will cut the glass, and lift the vase out of it's casing. Ratso and I will keep watch on either side of the display, but the guard's shifts should be changing, we have exactly 15 minutes to accomplish this," Tohru concluded. They landed shortly after Tohru was done briefing. They landed on the rooftop of the hotel, Chow made sure he landed quietly. Finn unbuckled and slung his pack over his shoulder. Each one of the boys shouldered their packs, got out of the copter, and began to set up the cable equipment. They were going to swing from one rooftop to the other. Sarah fiddled with her seat belt a bit. "Way too many straps," she thought to herself. Nomura must've designed it. When she finally got out of her seat, she strapped on her pack and headed fr the copter door. Tohru was standing there, waiting for her, or so it seemed. His expression remained stoic, and he extended his arms to her and she proceeded to reach out for him. He caught her and they both froze there for a second. Their eyes locked, their faces were so close, closer than they had ever been. Sarah could feel her heart begin to pound again, and her cheeks flushed. And in that second, Sarah saw a different Tohru. His eyes showed a heart of gentleness, and of a protector, her protector. Oh would you just shut the fuck up about this! She felt a wave of gratitude wash over her. She suddenly realized that Tohru truly was to be her guardian. Tohru let her down gently, a word not spoken between them. But their eyes did not leave each others' until she was one the ground. "Big T," Chow's voice came through their earpieces suddenly. "Yes," Tohru replied, turning away from Sarah. Sarah's eyes fell to the ground. "We're all set up over here. We just need to hook everyone up to the cables." "Very good," Tohru confirmed. He turned back to face Sarah and gestured for her to follow him. She followed him quietly to the where the others were, ready to ride the cables to the other building. -------------------- |

Chapter 5
Sarah hated heights, and she didn't dare look down off the edge of the building. Sarah: Gee, I'm useful. "You ready to strap up, Baby Doll?" Finn asked her with a kind smile. Sarah looked back to where Finn was with the cables and walked over to him. "Yeah, if I must," she said with a concerned smile. "Aww, don't worry, Baby Doll," Finn said sweetly. "You'll be strapped to Big T," he said pointing to Tohru. Just hope he does land his stomach and you'll be fine. Tohru was now wearing a harness on his chest that looked like a large baby harness. Sarah stood there for a moment staring at the harness uncertain if that would hold her. She also was uncertain of being strapped to Tohru. She sighed and shook her head in dismay. "I don't think that will hold me." Finn chuckled. "Ah come on, Baby Doll," Finn coaxed. "It'll be fine." Tohru nodded. "Do not fear, Miss Sarah," he said bluntly. "I will make sure you do not fall out of it." Sarah looked at Tohru and smiled kindly. "Alright, Tohru," she said. "I trust you, because you are my guardian after all," she walked up to where Tohru was. Tohru looked at her with surprise for a second. He was unsure whether he should smile, or simply look more stoic for her. But it made him surprisingly happy to hear her call him her guardian. Tohru let a small smile come across his lips for a second, but then resumed seriousness. Or for short... Finn: We're strapping you to tubo over here. Sarah and Tohru: But what about the angst? Finn: Shut-up and get the damn thing on. He knelt down to Sarah's eye level, so she could put her legs through the loops. He helped her adjust the straps til they fit her thighs, and not a word was spoken between them this whole time. But Sarah's heart began to pound heavily again as Tohru strapped her against him. Her head came to his broad chest. As he strapped her arms into their loops, Sarah's head was pressed against his chest. She could hear his steady and strong heartbeat. Under all that fat? Sarah closed her eyes and just listened to it for a while. After living in the asylum all of her life, nothing seemed constant or secure. The sound of Tohru's heart brought her the sense of security and consistency she had longed for her whole life. She pressed her ear harder against his chest, and Tohru noticed it. "...Miss Sarah?" he asked curiously. Sarah opened her eyes quickly and looked up to Tohru. "Oh!" she gasped. "I'm sorry, Tohru," she apologized. "Your heartbeat..it's just..." Sarah: So gag-inducing. she was trying to find the words to describe how wonderful his heartbeat was, but wasn't sure how he'd take it. Tohru looked at her curiously, unsure why she should be lost for words. "Tohru! Sarah! You ready to go?" Ratso asked them through their earpieces. And be utterly useless. Tohru turned his mic on. "Yes, Ratso," he replied, looking away from Sarah. "We are walking over there now." Sarah looked down and didn't look back up to Tohru. She wanted to tell him what she was feeling, but she couldn't find the words. Queasy? Noxious? Full of shame? They came to the edge of the building. The boys were all ready to swing over. Tohru nodded to Chow to go first. Tohru: God, I want to tap that ass. Chow nodded back and swung over to the museum's roof. He landed smoothly and quietly. He gave a thumbs up to the others, confirming the cables were sturdy. Ratso swung over next, landing less gracefully then Chow of course. Sarah didn't dare look down or around, she kept her eyes shut. Finn went after Ratso, and Sarah opened her eyes long enough to see him mount the cable. He winked at her and swung off to the other side. His wink did make Sarah smile a little. His spunky and 'no sweat' attitude made her less nervous. Then Tohru took the cable and tugged on it firmly. "Hold tightly to me, Miss Sarah," Tohru instructed, but his voice was softer than usual. Perhaps he could see how nervous she was about this. "Yes, Tohru," she replied, and she looked up to him. And to her surprise, he was looking down at her. Their eyes met, and Sarah's heart skipped a beat for some reason. His eyes looked so kind for that second, so soft too. Damn it, fanfic, go to the blackboard and write, "romance novels and theft scenes are not the same thing". "Alright," Tohru said firmly, and he looked ahead. The softness was gone. He fell forward and swung down the cable line. The rush of the wind and the feeling of faling was both terrifying and wonderful to Sarah. She held tightly to Tohru's shirt and pressed her face into his warm chest. And suffocated between his moobs. Soon they landed roughly on the other building, Tohru was not as graceful as the others, of course. And the art world wept when he crashed through the ceiling and accidentally destroyed Michelangelo's David. TBC -------------------- |

This would make for a great drinking game: take a shot whenever the author uses the words "smile", "sweetly", or "softly".
QUOTE Tohru was now wearing a harness on his chest that looked like a large baby harness. How incredibly apt. -------------------- Grammar is the difference between "knowing your shit" and "knowing you're shit."

Mar 25 2012, 11:24 AMThis would make for a great drinking game: take a shot whenever the author uses the words "smile", "sweetly", or "softly". Good point. I should make a tally of how many times that happens. Sarah opened her eyes and looked around, just checking to make sure that they were alive. Then she looked up to Tohru, and his expression was one of amusement, to her surprise. Torhu: Watching her scream like a banshee was the best part. "Yes, Miss Sarah. We made it to the other side," he said smirking. Her nervousness amused him. Sarah smiled a little, but not much. She was embarrassed by her own behavior. But to see Tohru amused, at anything, made her happy. Sarah: Tee-hee. I have no thoughts beyond this man. So she let a giggle out, and Tohru continued to smile. His smile faded however, for he knew there was a mission. Sarah's smile faded too, remembering this was a serious situation. Tohru walked over to where the others were, Sarah still strapped to his chest. "We've cut the whole through the roof," Finn whispered through his mic. "Alright. Are the cables ready for the descent?" Tohru asked in a whisper. "Ready, Big T," Finn replied with a nod. Tohru: Sorry, too busy angsting about Sarah. Tohru nodded back and checked the cables Finn was wearing one last time. He then checked the cables connected to the machine they had setup next tot he whole. He gave Finn an affirming nod, and Finn leaned back, being lowered slowly into the whole. When he landed, he gave a tug to let Tohru know. Tohru then gestured to Chow to go next. Then Ratso went. After the three boys had landed, Tohru prepared himself to lower down. "Hold tight, Miss Sarah," he whispered, that gentle tone in his voice once again. Sarah looked up to him. "Yes, Tohru," she whispered in reply. So he pushed down the hall and hope she landed on one of the security guards. And she pressed her face onto his chest once more. Before she knew it, they were on the museum floor. Tohru unhooked Sarah from him quietly, and helped her out of the holster. He set her down gently, more gently than Sarah expected him to. He looked around quickly to make sure that the camera's were not blinking. "Camera's off, Big T," Finn whispered. "Cutting the glass of the case now," Chow's voice came through to everyone's headsets. Everything is about to be ruined in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Sarah looked to see Chow and Ratso cutting through the glass case, where the vase was displayed. The vase was even more beautiful than Sarah thought. Tohru and Finn were on each side of the case, looking at the hallways and listening for footsteps. Sarah stood perfectly still. They were right on schedule, with just enough time to get out. But as Sarah watched Chow reach in to the case, she felt a sharp pain surge though her head. Suddenly, a flash of pictures flooded her head. Sarah: Mmmm. Security guards totally naked and having hot, nasty sex. It was images of the guards. Their shift change was over already, and they were headed down the hallways for the regular walk through. Sarah had been wrong. "....no...." she breathed. She whipped around to face Tohru. "Tohru!!!" she cried. "The GUARDS! They're COMING!!" Quick, hide for surprise attack and then take the vase. Wait, that's what I would do. Never mind. Tohru and Finn both looked at her in shock, and they quickly turned to face each hallway. Chow and Ratso froze, trying to figure out whether to take the vase or just leave it. Tohru saw a guard coming. "LEAVE IT!!" he yelled to Chow and Ratso. Finn pulled out his gun and quickly shot the guard in the kneecaps. Chow and Ratso did as Tohru ordered and quickly began throwing the equipment into their bags. Chow pulled out a small box with a button and pressed it. The cables attached to each of their waists tightened. Chow was lifted up first, then Ratso. Finn went next. But as he was lifted, he noticed Sarah standing as if she was frozen. Sarah: Must...make them regret in taking me along... "Baby Doll!!" Finn yelled at her, trying to wake her from her fear-stricken state. Sara couldn't move. She couldn't believe how she had failed them all. Her gift was supposed to be beneficial, to help them! Now she had made a mistake on her FIRST time, and it was costing them the vase! Sarah was filled with shame. Her eyes filled with tears as she tried to not scream and break down right then. Actually, the emergency reading was useful otherwise they'd be in more trouble. Suddenly, She felt Tohru's large and mighty arm wrap around her waist. It pulled her roughly to his chest. There was no time to strap her into the sling again. Sarah could now hear gunshots and saw that another guard had come down the hall. He was firing at Tohru and herself. Everything felt so fast it was in slow-motion. Sarah saw a bullet shot at her chest, but Tohru took the bullet in his arm. Sarah buried her face into his chest, just praying to any god that heard her. Jehova: Nope. Allah: Forget it. Zues: Uh-uh. Loki: Tough luck, bitch. Then suddenly, as if waking from a nightmare, she was back in the jet, sitting next to Tohru and Finn. -------------------- |

Chapter 6
Sarah blinked a few times and looked around. Finn was next to Sarah, typing madly on a laptop. Dear diary, today is the happiest day of my life, I finally managed to get tickets to Brony-Con. I just know they will love my Fluttershy cosplay. Finn noticed that Sarah was coming around and quickly took her hand into his. "Heeeey, Baby Doll," he said with relief. "Are you alright?" "....Y-yes..." Sarah stuttered softly. "I'm..sorry..Finn. I froze..and I shouldn't ha"-"It's okay, Baby Doll," Finn said softly. Finn: We'll plot your death later. "I know it was scary for ya. I'm sorry all of that happened," he said with a sad smile. Sarah smiled timidly back at him, then gasped. "Tohru! Your arm!" she cried, quickly looking to him. She saw a large bandage wrapped around his forearm, and it was soaked in blood. Sarah tried to touch it, but was afraid to. It's a little known fact that Sues explode if they come in contact with the blood of the mundane. "It is fine, Miss Sarah," Tohru said coldly. Sarah did not raise her eyes to Tohru. She knew he was angry with her and she did not blame him. Sarah felt the tears come, and she quietly sobbed. Finn noticed this and grabbed her hand again. "Hey, hey now, don't cry Baby," he cooed. "This is all my fault..." Sarah sobbed. "I cost us the vase..and Tohru is hurt because he.." Did his job, emo-girl. Sarah's voice trailed off into whimpering. She was so upset by the fact that Tohru got hurt protecting her. Which would be bound to happen. She would've gladly taken the bullet for him. He shouldn't have had to get shot because of her. Granted it would've landed in her chest and probably killed her. "Miss Sarah.." Tohru finally spoke softly. His voice was not harsh now, it was gentle. "Please...do not cry. I am fine, it really does not hurt that greatly." Sarah still didn't raise her gaze. Then she felt Tohru's large and warm hand on her shoulder. "...miss Sarah. Please, it is alright," he said again. Then Sarah looked up slowly to Tohru. There wasn't any anger or coldness in his eyes anymore. They were gentle and kind. Sarah wiped her eyes, comforted by Tohru's forgiving tone. "I just don't know what to tell Mr. V"- Or go for the more popular option, blame it on the Jews. "You will not tell him anything," Tohru interrupted her sternly. Sarah looked with surprise at Tohru. But, Tohru...it was my fau"-"That does not matter. We will not say it was your fault," Tohru said, shaking his head. "But...why? I don't understand Tohru.." Sarah began in bewilderment. It's to cover your ass so he can finally get laid. "Because, Baby Doll," Finn began. "We don't want him to punish you." Sarah looked with shock at Finn. "We'd much rather take the fall for this than have him blame you," Finn said, with a sad smile. "But...then..he will punish you all and I"-"Don't worry about it, Babe," Finn interrupted her kindly, and he shook his head. Oh God, this is getting Sue-ish. Sarah's expression did not change. She couldn't understand why Tohru and Finn were so adamant about not letting Valmont know the truth. What did she need to be protected from? Sarah: I'm taking my Dense Pills today. She knew Valmont was a crime lord, but he had been civil with her. "We will tell him I dropped the vase while pulling it out of it's case," Tohru stated bluntly. Sarah looked at Tohru in surprise. "And..your arm?" she asked with suspicion. Blame it on Chow. Tohru looked annoyed to be asked that, but he did not retaliate. "My gun went off by accident," Finn answered her, with a wink. Sarah looked back to Finn, then shook her head in disbelief. His eyes fell to the floor. "You can't take the fall for me," she said softly, and with sadness. Sarah: If I don't play the martyr, they'll take away my Sue-privledges! "we can, and we will," Tohru replied calmly. "Miss Sarah.." Tohru began, in a gentler tone. "Let us take responsibility for this. Trust us." Sarah looked up to Tohru, and she saw that gentleness again. She realized that she needed to trust Tohru and Finn. She nodded and touched his hand gently. "Alright, Tohru," she said softly. Ratso: If I were crash this helicopter into the ground, would any of them survive? The rest of the way home was ridden in silence. Sarah kept her eyes to the floor. She still felt awful, especially about Tohru's arm. She knew now that Tohru truly was her guardian. And she was eternally grateful to him for that. Sarah felt her cheeks flush as she replayed what had happened in her mind. The way Tohru had picked her up. It was so strong, but yet so gentle so as not to hurt her. As she recalled, she realized Tohru had whispered something before the bullet hit his arm. Torhu: If you whine about this, I'll kill you. "I have you." It was soft, almost a whisper, but he had still said it. And the comfort of such a statement for Sarah was wonderful. Sarah began to wonder why he would say that. Did he see how terrified and guilt-ridden she was in those few moments? Did he mean those words in more ways than one? Was he trying to say he was not angry at her for causing such a mess? Was he doing his duty and nothing more? "Don't think too much into it," Sarah told herself, shaking her head. They finally landed back at the building. They all got out slowly, every one of them was not eager to meet with Valmont. Sarah got out of the jet, Finn was standing at the door of the roof, waiting for her. "Hey, Baby Doll," he greeted her softly. Sarah smiled sadly at him. "Hey, Finn," she replied. "Why aren't you going in with the others?" she asked him. Finn: Because I'm not stupid. Finn looked to them ground for a moment. "I just wanted to let you know that..you shouldn't blame yourself for what happened," he said gently, and he looked up back to her. Sarah smiled sadly at him again. "But..it was my fault.." she said quietly. "I read the whole thing wrong..." and she looked to the ground. No, they were just idiots for trusting you, that's all. Finn stepped up to her. "I know..but it was just a mistake, Baby Doll. You can't be upset with yourself every time. I want to see that sexy smile of yours again," he said, a kind smile on his face. Sarah looked up to meet Finn's green eyes. "...Finn.." she whispered, and she smiled shyly. Finn was so kind to her, trying so hard to help her not feel so terrible. He can lay on the guilt after she refuses to date him. Finn reached out for her hand, and he squeezed it tightly for a second or two. Sarah felt butterflies form in her stomach at his touch. She liked Tohru, but Finn was so much fun and light-hearted. He was closer to her age, and he was obviously interested in her. Tohru was hot and cold to her. Either fuck him instead or I will. But now wasn't the time to think about any of that. "We should go in," she whispered. A look of disappointment came over Finn's features. "Yeah..okay," he said quietly. He turned back towards the door and began down the stairs. Sarah breathed deeply, and began the descent. When she got to the main room where Valmont was, the boys had already assembled there. Valmont sat in his luxurious chair in front of his desk, steep-ling his fingers. He stared at Tohru with disappointment. Valmont: When I say, "Drop your pants and do The Hustle, you do it now." "So...what exactly happened to my vase, Tohru?" he asked coolly. Sarah didn't want to take a step further into the room. She was uncertain what was going to happen if she entered. She was afraid for herself, but more importantly for Tohru and the others. But Valmont saw her out of the corner of his eye. "Sarah," he said calmly. "Come over here, my dear," he gestured to her. Sarah smiled nervously at him and silently walked over to him. She stood next to Tohru, as if he could give her cover from the storm that was probably eminent. "Well, Tohru..my question remains," Valmont: Will you marry me? Valmont resumed his glare at Tohru. "What happened to my vase? Why did your mission fail?" "We..had difficulties, Master," Tohru replied, his eyes on the ground. Valmont raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "Difficulties?" he repeated curiously. "How much 'difficulty' can there be for a team of trained thieves?" he asked rhetorically. Ratso forgot how to breathe again and they spent the whole time having to re-teach him. Our software failed to shut down every alarm, Big V," Finn said apologetically. "I thought it had completed the shut down, but it hadn't and I didn't check it before going in." Valmont glared at Finn. "How funny, seeing as how you have never once had a failure like that before tonight," Valmont remarked, coldly staring at Finn. Finn could feel the sweat form on his forehead. "Master," Tohru began. "I also failed to have Sarah do a second reading before we went in," he said calmly. "She should have known to do that before you landed," Valmont snapped. "You never told me to do that!" Sarah remarked, though it came out more like a shout. Valmont gave her a "Silence!" glare, and Sarah shrank back beside Tohru. Tohru fought the urge to pull Sarah to his side at that moment. And spank her like crazy. He suddenly wanted to protect Sarah, just like when the guards shot at her. The only thing that came to his mind was "Keep her safe always." He wanted to protect her now from Valmont's fury. "Master," Tohru began again, in a very low tone. "Please do not blame Miss Sarah. She did not know she was to read again, and"-"Enough!" Valmont shouted, yet his face was without expression. Sarah winced, she had not heard Valmont raise his voice before, and it frightened her. It reminded her of the shouting she was always surrounded by at the asylum. She never wanted to relive that. Except it wasn't about coke bugs and wanting to shoot nuns from a bell tower. Tohru became solemn, but he did not drop his gaze from Valmont's. "These are excuses that should not be given to me," Valmont said coldly. "I can't believe I let Sarah go with you all on this mission. Because clearly, you are all incompetent, incapable, and completely pathetic even with a girl's aid," And Jackie Chan didn't even have to be there; that's a new record for them. he rose from his chair. And began to walk slowly and coolly towards Tohru. Sarah knew she wasn't going to be able to watch whatever punishment Valmont was about to give to Tohru, or the others. They never should have taken the fall for her! She didn't want the boys to pay for her stupid mistake. She no longer cared that she promised Tohru and Finn that she wouldn't own up to this. "It was my fault..." Sarah said quietly. Valmont's eyes flashed to her, Tohru shut his eyes slowly. Finn mouthed 'Baby Doll' as he looked at her in shock, while Ratso and Chow looked at her in disbelief. "You? Sarah?" Valmont inquired calmly. His expression was softer now as he looked at her. But since she was just a silly woman, he let her off easy. "I read the situation incorrectly," Sarah confessed, her voice meekly. "The guards changed their shifts early. If I had done a reading before we went in I would ha"-Valmont slapped her across the face. Sarah's eyes grew wide with both shock and pain. Tohru, Finn, and the other two couldn't believe what just happened, even though they had all feared it would once Sarah told Valmont. Tohru clenched his teeth, fighting the urge to become violent towards Valmont. He knew he couldn't do anything against his master. If he did, Valmont may do something worse to Sarah for Tohru coming to her defense. Like stop being physically attracted to her. But his heart was pounding heavily as he watched Sarah try to collect herself. Sarah fought the tears that were beginning to form in her eyes. The slap hurt, but not as much as the fact that Valmont had just struck her. "Some how, I knew it would be your fault," Valmont said coldly, smirking for a moment. "I may give you a second chance to prove your skills useful on the field. But perhaps it was too soon," he said coolly. He turned to return to his desk. He sat down slowly and looked back to Tohru. See, that's what you get when you don't listen to me. "Take Sarah to her room," he ordered coldly. Tohru stood still as stone, he didn't respond to Valmont's order in any way. He was still trying not to crush his master's head right then. "I'm sorry, Tohru, are you fat and deaf?"Valmont asked with an angry tone. Tohru's face was emotionless, and he remained still. Suddenly, he felt a small and trembling hand touch his. He looked down and saw Sarah. Her eyes were to the ground, and her lips were trembling. Tohru realized she just wanted to be out of that room. Tohru wrapped his large hand around hers, and squeezed it gently. "Yes, Master," he finally said solemnly. He turned to the door, and the other three followed slowly behind him. When they reached the hallway and closed Valmont's door, Sarah remained silent and her eyes to the ground. Tohru looked at her again, and then to the other boys. They all remained quiet as and headed towards Sarah's room. Tohru continued to hold Sarah's hand, and she was overwhelmingly grateful he was. Be careful Love-Slaves, because this next chapter will be getting more annoying in more ways than one. Smile Count: 7 Sweetly Count: 0 Softly Count: 6 -------------------- |

Mar 26 2012, 11:36 AMYeah Valmont, keep that pimp hand strong! *chuckle* Now I have the image of Valmont in stereotypical 70's pimp wear and a cane. On to the story and don't say I didn't warn you. When they all came to Sarah's door, Finn opened it for her. Tohru walked into her room with her, still holding her hand. When they all had entered, Finn closed the door, and immediately ran over to Sarah. "Baby Doll, are you alright?!" he asked with great worry in his eyes. He lifted his hand to touch her face where Valmont had struck her. Sarah let the tears come then. Chow and Ratso came up to her then, with sorrow in their eyes. Chow: Why do we have to humiliate ourselves like this? Finn took her free hand into his. "...aw Baby Doll.." Finn whispered softly. "Don't cry. You're too pretty to cry," he smiled sadly at her, and rubbed her hand soothingly. "You're not bleeding are ya?" Ratso asked with deep concern. Because Valmont hates it when his hoes bleed on his pimp-hand. Sarah took a breath breath, and calmed herself for the boy's sake. "No..Ratso..I am alright," she said calmly, and she smiled sadly, trying to put him at ease. Tohru had not taken his eyes off of Sarah this hole time. Suddenly, the distance he had tried to put between himself and her was gone. The bitch started using deodorant again. Now, he wished to be close to her always, as a guardian should be. He had held her hand this entire time, and he had no intention of letting go, not unless she wished it. "I am..so very sorry..to all of you," Sarah said softly with remorse. All of the boys looked at each other, and then smiled kindly at her. "Aww nah, Sarah, it's alright," Ratso said sweetly. "Yeah, we know you just trying to help us not get into trouble," Chow said kindly. "We're just sorry you got hurt, Baby Doll," Finn said sadly, his eyes on the ground. And that they didn't get a chance to record the whole thing. Sarah shook her head slowly. "No, Finn," she said quietly, "This is my fault for not listening to you..and to Tohru," she said sadly. She did not look up to Tohru, because she was ashamed to. But Tohru looked down to Sarah, with great pain and sadness in his eyes. He knew she felt like she had failed them, and he wanted to tell her it wasn't her fault. But Tohru had never been good at finding the words to comfort for someone. And he felt that no matter what he said, she wouldn't believe him. This is where I suggest some reverse psychology and if it makes her jump off a building instead, no harm done. Then he felt Sarah's hand released his, and she stood in front if him. "Thank you...Tohru.." she said softly, but she kept her eyes on the ground. "I am alright now." "Miss Sarah.." Tohru said in nearly a whisper. "We should all try to get some sleep now," she said as she towards her bed. Ratso, Chow, and Finn came over to where she was. "You sure you're okay Baby Doll?" Finn asked once more. Sarah smiled at him with a tired smile. "Yes Finn, I'm fine," she said wearily. "Let me give you each a kiss goodnight," she said softly. "It's the least I can do for all of your kindness towards me." Thus they laughed at her childishness and went off to find some women with real class. The boys all looked at each other with rather nervous expressions. Sarah came to Chow first, and she kissed him softly on the cheek. Chow blushed deeply, and he smiled a little at her. She smiled back at him gently. She kissed Ratso next, who kissed her on the cheek right back, smiling happily. Sarah giggled , and thought Ratso was so sweet to kiss her back. Then she came to Finn, and she felt her cheeks warm a bit. Ok, first of all, The Enforcers would not be acting like nervous little children if some attractive woman wanted to smooch them. I'm sure all them have known the touch of a woman they didn't have to pay for. I'm sure even Tohru has gotten some even if she was only using him to get back at her boyfriend for knocking her up. 'good night, Baby Doll," Finn whispered sweetly to her. Sarah smiled shyly, and kissed him gently on the cheek. Finn kissed her softly in return, and Sarah felt butterflies for a second as he did. "Good night, Finn," she whispered back. Then Sarah came to Tohru. She looked up to him for the first time since the ride in the jet. She saw his expression, and her heart felt at ease. She saw his eyes were gentle, and sad too. Then Tohru knelt down slowly, and waited for his kiss, his eyes locked with Sarah's. Sarah smiled softly at him, and slowly kissed his cheek. Sarah: Ew! Lay off the pimple cream, loser! For the first time in his adult life, Tohru was being kissed by a girl. A girl who actually wanted to kiss him. Tohru felt his eras get hot, and he hoped he wasn't blushing too much. Sarah could feel her heartbeat quicken as she kissed Tohru. She hadn't realized how much she Tohru already meant to her, until now. Being so close to him, feeling his breath on her neck, and seeing his beautiful brown eyes. "Good night..Tohru," she whispered, as she smiled kindly at him. This would be a lot more tolerable if the characters involved were under the age of 13. Tohru smiled a small smile at her in return. "Good night...Miss Sarah," he replied softly, his eyes gentle. Sarah turned away from them all and went to her bed. "See ya in the morning," Ratso said sweetly as the boys headed out the door. "Okay, Ratso," Sarah replied happily as she laid her head on the pillow. Tohru was the last one to leave Sarah's room. And as he shut the door behind him, he looked at her, to see a sweet smile from her. Tohru smiled kindly back at her, and shut the door. Sarah closed her eyes and fell asleep quickly. In hopes of forgetting the shame of even existing. She awoke to the sound of knocking at her door. It was a soft knocking on her door, and then Sarah heard a voice. "Sarah," the voice called softly. "Sarah, dear girl, are you awake?" Sarah rose up onto her elbows, and sleepily answered. "Yes...I am...who is it?" she asked curiously. "It's Valmont, dear." Valmont: I have the sudden urge to smack you again. Sarah's heart sank in her chest, and a cold feeling filled her stomach. "Mr..Valmont?.." she asked allowed. "Yes, sweet girl," Valmont replied through t he door. "I came to apologize to you for what I did and how I treated you earlier." Sarah got out of bed slowly and went to the door. Turning the light of her room on, she opened the door. Valmont stood in the door-way, his face full of remorse. Sarah hadn't seen him this way before, not this regretful and a look of kindness in his eyes. "Hello, my dear," Valmont said softly, a sad smile across his face. Sarah smiled a little, still slightly confused and sleepy. "Hello, Mr. Valmont," she replied softly as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. "I...feel simply awful about how I treated you earlier," Valmont apologized with sadness in his voice. "I lost my temper, and should have complete control over that." Ugghhh...The Sueness has gotten to him, hasn't it? Sarah looked to the ground, and her cheek suddenly hurt for a second. But Valmont seemed genuinely sorry. "It's alright...Mr. Valmont," Sarah replied quietly. Valmont took her hand gently into his. "No it is not," he whispered sadly. "Can you ever forgive me, dear girl?" he asked softly. Don't worry, Valmont, the last two seasons of the show will be hard enough for you as it is. Sarah smiled sweetly at him. "Yes of course, Valmont," she said gently. Valmont smiled dashingly at her, and Sarah thought to herself how handsome Valmont was then. His hair was the soft bleached blonde, and it glowed in softly in the pale lamplight. And then his eyes, his crystal blue eyes. And they were always changing to her it seemed. They would be piercing and stern one moment, then dashing and gentle the next. Sarah wondered why she hadn't noticed these things before about him, but perhaps it was because of the soft light around them, and the silence of the night. She was seeing a different Valmont all of the sudden. "May I..come in for a moment?" Valmont asked softly. Sarah's heart skipped a beat. "Sure..." she replied with a nervous chuckle. Remind me, how old is this character again? She opened the door all of the way and gestured for him to come in. Valmont smiled handsomely and walked in. "Finn mentioned to me you loved your room. I am very pleased to hear it," he grinned as he turned back to face her. Sarah smiled sweetly at him, a little more relaxed. "Yes, I do, Mr. Valmont. Very much," she said happily as she walked towards him. "I was uncertain whether you'd enjoy pink, but I imagined you to be a very beautiful girl. And pink always is such a lovely color for a beautiful girl," Valmont said sweetly. Especially when their blood splatters all over when you stick a knife in them. He stepped closer to Sarah then. Sarah smiled shyly. "Why, thank you, Mr. Valmont," she replied. "Just...Valmont," Valmont said, almost whispering. Valmont slowly took Sarah's hand into his, and Sarah's heart began to pound. "Alright..Valmont..." Sarah said as she looked into his eyes. They were gentle and tender. Valmont smiled softly at her. Because he was thinking about banging me. "Sarah, forgive me if I am being too forward. But I feel I cannot hide this any longer from you." Sarah looked at Valmont with a puzzled look. "When we took you from the asylum, I knew you were to be a wonderful and extraordinary addition to our group. But, I never imagined I would..."he paused, and he looked away from her. "fall for you so quickly," he said as he looked to her again. Warning! Warning! Sue-terrirtory has finally been hit. Abandon all hope! Sarah's eyes grew wide with shock. '...Valmont..." she tried to say something, but nothing came to her. She didn't understand, her head was spinning now. "I know..my darling. I know how sudden this is, but I feel I shall burst with emotions if I didn't confess to you tonight!" he said softly, and Sarah could hear passion in his voice. Please tell me this is all some elaborate prank set up by Ashton Kutcher, Tom Green and the ghost of Allen Funt. Please. "...I...I don't know...what," Sarah tried to speak once more. Valmont took Sarah into his arms slowly, and she let him. She didn't struggle. She didn't feel she could. Valmont was certainly one of the handsomest men she had ever seen, and he wanted her. Yes, he had slapped her, and yes it hurt. "But I..." Sarah's thoughts were foggy, and her reasoning was gone. Valmont smiled tantalizingly. He leaned in, and their lips met. Sarah closed her eyes. She felt her cheeks flush, and a warmth rush through her. It felt so wonderful, for the first second. But then a pain pierced her heart. She saw his face in her mind, she saw Tohru. He was smiling at her lovingly, the way she had wanted him to. Sarah's eyes shot open, and she broke away from Valmont's lips. "Valmont...I.." she whispered. Valmont looked at her with confusion. "Please, I.." she began timidly. "As much as it flatters me..and as good as it feels.." she smiled nervously as she looked to the floor. Valmont grinned devilishly at her. Valmont: Yes! I don't have to go through with this crap. "I...do not..feel this is..right. At least..not so soon.." she said softly, and she looked back up to him. Valmont's expression changed suddenly. The look of passion in his eyes disappeared, and was replaced by anger. "I do not believe that you have a say as to what is 'too soon', dearest love," he said coolly, but Sarah saw contempt and fury flash in his eyes. Oh God, no. Don't you even go there, fanfic. "You live here now, Sarah dear, and you belong to me. Take that as you please, but it is true," Valmont stated, his voice low. He then proceeded to kiss Sarah's shoulder tenderly. Valmont, you're the kind of guy who sends flowers to an enemy at the hospital (due to trying to stop you) just to lord over and be a dick to them. You can easily get any poon your want and if the slash fandom is not lying to me (which I know it isn't), you probably banged Finn and/or Chow while you're at it. I know I don't know you on a personal basis, but rape just seems bellow you. Sarah closed her eyes in defeat, and stone-cold feeling filled her. She did want to scream. But she didn't want the boys to get punished anymore because of her. She knew they would pay if she tried to get their help. So, Sarah let her body go limp, shutting down. She wrapped her arms loosely around Valmont's frame, and looked up to the ceiling. She fought the tears vigorously, but a few came through despite her efforts. My head hurts from the contrivance. What followed, Sarah would try to forget for the rest of her life, though she never could fully. And through it all, she found herself thinking of another. She thought of Tohru. All kidding from the second-to-last comment aside, did she have to pull this "angst lever"? I know that it's tempting to ram controversial material into your stories when you're first starting out (I've fallen into that trap when I was younger), but rape is so overdone as an attempt to be edgy or dramatic these days. -------------------- |

Saw that coming a mile away. What amuses me, though, is that the story never specified that they weren't cousins. I realize it was probably made up so Valmont could take her into custody, but it's never mentioned again after that.
Also, why isn't that dragon statue thing busting his balls? Or Jackie Chan, for that matter. Yanno, the stuff that made the show interesting. -------------------- Grammar is the difference between "knowing your shit" and "knowing you're shit."

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Shendu or Jackie to her. Granted a dragon-spirit would be a little hard to swallow at first, but the Chan family is threat so it would make sense to warn her about them. From what I've skimmed ahead from the story, there's no mention of any of these characters. Though in her art, there is mention that not only will she switch sides with Torhu, but also be a big sister figure for Jade. -------------------- |

BTW, last count results...
Smile: 16 Sweetly: 2 Softly: 11 Chapter 8 Sarah startled awake in the late morning, alone in her bed. The sun broke through her huge windows. It was a beautiful morning, but Sarah didn't feel the warmth of the sun. She didn't feel the fresh and happy feeling a new day brought her in the past. She felt cold, weary, and filthy. For she learned the hard way the Valmont is a major bukkake fan. She felt her entire body shivering, as if she was on a bed of ice. She broke out in a cold sweat. The rush of what had occurred the night before ran through her like a freezing wind. Sarah clutched the sheets tightly, until her knuckles were white. She stared blankly at the roof of her canopy bed. The only word that she could think of was 'why'. Because your creator wasn't happy with only The Enforcers making you the center of their universe. "Why did this happen to her? What did she do to deserve this. Why didn't she see it happening? With all her power of foresight... That only work on objects, not people. it didn't save her from losing her purity. It didn't stop her from becoming a piece of meat for Valmont to use as he wished. She should have been able to do something, she should have stopped it. She should have screamed, clawed at him, kicked him...something. Why didn't she? Why did she feel she had to keep silent and allow it? I'll give the author credit for handling this somewhat realistically. It was for the boys. If she had struggled and cried out, Tohru might have come to rescue her, and then Valmont would have most certainly done something terrible to Tohru. Or what if Finn came in, and Valmont had been secretly armed, or something horrible like that. Sarah could not have lived with herself if something had happen to any of these men. Now Chow and Ratso, what's a few bullet-ridden bodies between friends? Each of them already meant so much to her. And she did not feel her well-being was worth putting theirs in jeopardy, not even for what Valmont did to her. She had never felt worth enough to be first before others. She had made her choice to protect them. But this sickening, cold, and dead feeling that now consumed her made her regret the choice she had made. Sarah felt she needed to vomit, but she fought it. She continued to stare up at the roof of her canopy bed. Her mind wondered. Sarah: If Giligan and Urkel had a fight, who'd win? She thought about the asylum. And for those few seconds, she wished she was back there. At least there, she would have stayed the same. She would've stayed...pure. No one touched her their, no one made her feel destroyed from the inside out. She was ignored, she was invisible there. It was all female nurses in her ward, no men to lust after her, none to touch her in any way frightening. That is when she was awake. She had felt, in her younger years, she was better off dead. She had had thoughts that she was better off not existing at all. And those thoughts returned to her now, fast and strong. But she was no longer at the asylum. She was here... Being mocked on Project A.F.T.E.R. Then she thought of the boys again. Each of their faces flashed before her mind's eye. Ratso's sweet and innocent smile, Chow's mischievous smirk, Finn's playful and flirtatious grin, and Tohru's stoic and protective expression. As she thought of them, she felt a pain in her heart. *Caught hammering stake into her heart* Uh, I'm not doing anything wrong; just keep reading. "I can't tell them," she thought to herself. "I can never tell them..it would break their hearts..” And with that thought, Sarah felt her own heart shatter. Tears formed in her eyes suddenly. She let the tears come and then fall, and sobbed softly for what seemed like ages. She laid in bed a while longer, even when the tears had subsided. The pain of what had happened weighed her down like an anvil a top her chest. But...she had to get up. She just needed to see the boys again. She had to make them forget this series is about a kung-fu archiologist and all the crazy mystic shit he and his family encounter. If she could just see their faces, hear their voices. If she could hear...Tohru's voice again... Sarah slowly got out of bed, went to her bathroom, and took several, hot showers. But no matter how hard she scrubbed, or how much she washed herself, she still felt sick and filthy, inside and out. When she finally came out of the shower and dried herself off, she looked in the mirror at her naked frame for at least five minutes. Sarah: Wow, I never noticed this third boob until now. She just stared at herself, blankly and coldly. Her head was still spinning with thoughts of guilt, disgust, and shame. As she stood there for what seemed like hours, she finally clenched her fists and gritted her teeth. "No," she breathed to herself, closing her eyes tightly. "I will not let this destroy me, I can't let it...I WON'T." Sarah looked up to the mirror again, and this time, her eyes were full of both sadness, and spite. Then her eyes fell to the ground. "If I can just get through today..if I can just see..the boys again...I'll be fine..." And with that, Sarah got dressed, and headed out of her room. I feel like a heel for mocking this chapter, but it's my job. She came to the kitchen, and found Tohru making himself a late breakfast. "Good morning, Miss Sarah," Tohru greeted her stoically. Sarah looked up at him for a second, and tried to smile. But she could only muster a weak one. She would've wished for nothing more than to run into his arms for just a second or two. She wanted to press her head against his chest, and hear his heartbeat. The sense of security that sound gave her was unexplainable. But she didn't want Tohru to suspect anything was wrong. "Good morning..Tohru," she replied quietly. Torhu: Cooking, piss-off. But Tohru had seen that painful look in her eyes before the small smile. "Miss Sarah..is something wrong?" he asked, with concern in his voice. Sarah was feeling a stone-like weight in her stomach. The urge to tell him everything was overpowering her. And she wanted so much for Tohru to tell her everything was going to be alright. That she'd get through this, or some empty comfort words. But none of that was possible right now. She couldn't tell Tohru anything. "Good morning, Baby Doll!" Sarah turned around to see Finn, Chow, and Ratso at the kitchen door. Finn flashed a cheerful smile at Sarah. "Did you sleep good in your new bed?" he asked her. Sarah: AAANNNGGGGSSSTTTT! Sarah felt a rush of comfort come over her for a second. To see Finn smiling at her along with Chow and Ratso also smiling brightly. The weight on her chest lightened a bit, and she felt some of the pain melt away. "Good morning, Finn. And good morning Ratso and Chow," she said sweetly. Sarah realized then how much these men cared for her. Even though they hadn't known her for more than a day, she had become A Mary-Sue. someone dear to them all. This realization filled Sarah's heart with comfort and happiness, replacing the pain and heaviness that had been there seconds before. "And yes, Finn, my new bed is quite comfortable," she said with a nod. "Ah good! Now if only we could get new, comfy beds," Finn snickered as he sat down at the table. Chow and Ratso chuckled. "Yeah, I'm startin' to see the springs break through on mine," Ratso said, as he got milk out of the fridge. Sarah giggled, and it felt wonderful to laugh. Sarah: His pain makes me happy. "Sooo, Big T! What's for breakfast?" Finn asked grinning up at Tohru. "Anything you like, because are making it yourself," Tohru replied flatly, sitting at the table. Finn rolled his eyes. "God, Tohru , it was a joke," he sighed. "You know, ha ha?" Tohru began to eat his pancakes, not looking up at Finn. "Ah..hilarious, Finn," he remarked bluntly. Finn shook his head in disappointment. Finny: Must be his time of the month. "Yeah, okay, thanks," he said, as he got up to go to the fridge. Sarah found herself trying not to laugh. "Um..I can make you something, Finn," she offered with a smile. Finn looked to her and flashed a flirty grin. "Awww, thanks, Baby Doll!" he said happily. 'You're the sweetest," he winked. Sarah: I'll summon the magical forest animals to help me. Tohru looked at Finn, then at Sarah. He felt a pang of annoyance towards Finn for being so flirty with Sarah all of the time. Given that he actually makes the effort don't, you sure have plenty to be upset about. Sarah chuckled. "Thanks, Finn. You're too kind," she replied, shaking her head a little. Finn laughed and sat back down. "Could I have an omelet?" he requested. "Sure thing," Sarah nodded as she opened the fridge door. "Miss Sarah?" Ratso asked sweetly. "Yes, Ratso?" Sarah replied looking to him kindly. "May I have an omelet too?" he asked sheepishly. Sarah smiled sweetly at him. "You bet, sweetly," she replied. Ratso smiled, trying not to blush a bit, and sat down. God, it's like that other chapter all over again. "Would you like one, Chow?" Sarah asked, getting a pan out of the cupboard. "Sure!" Chow grinned. He sat down next to Ratso. Sarah made each of them their omelet, with any special ingredient they asked for. Sarah: Ok, I have the cyanide Chow asked for. Tohru finished his pancakes quietly, while the others joked and laughed at each other. The pain that Tohru had seen in Sarah's eyes was still bothering him. She acted fine now, but what was that distress about? As Tohru was about to get up from the table, Sarah placed an omelet in front of him. Tohru looked to Sarah, who was smiling happily at him. "I know you didn't ask for one, but I didn't want you to think I forgot about you or something," Sarah said shyly. Because this was all a master plan to clog his arteries enough so that hunk, Hak Fu, would join much sooner. Tohru gave her a look of surprise. "I, uh, hope you're not tool full or anything already," she said sheepishly, brushing hair behind her ear. "oh don't worry about that, Baby Doll," Finn snickered. "I've always known Tohru to never turn down free food." Ratso and Chow snickered at each other, and Tohru shot a glare at Finn. Torhu: How many times do I have to tell you, that I'm just big-boned? Sarah tried to ignore Finn's remark, and turned quickly away from Tohru. She thought she might have offended him. "Thank you..Miss Sarah..." Tohru said quietly, and kindly. Sarah looked back at Tohru, and she saw a small smile for her across his face. "That was...very..thoughtful of you," he said with appreciative nod. Sarah smiled happily back at Tohru. She loved so much to see him pleased by her actions. "You're welcome, Tohru," she nodded. "Mine was very good, Baby Doll," Finn said, trying to bring Sarah's attention back to him. Then Daolon Won broke in blew-up the place despite the fact that he won't appear until much later in the second season. Sarah's gaze broke from Tohru, and came to Finn. "oh! I'm glad it was, Finn!" she said smiling at him. Finn smiled back and rose from his seat. "Well, Big V said he needed the day to relax after last night. So we get the day to do whatever!" Finn said cheerfully. He started to pick up the plates, as did Sarah, but her smile had faded when Valmont was mentioned. She felt sick to her stomach again, and a chill ran through her body quickly. Tohru noticed this, but he said nothing and finished his omelet. "Yeah! So who wants to play video games?" Ratso asked everyone excitedly. Ratso: It's called Enzai. "Maybe a little later, Ratso," Finn replied. "But we need to go to the farmer's market today and get more food. It's days like this that're good for getting groceries since there's no where we gotta be." "Guess you're right, Finn," Ratso said with disappointment. "Buuut," Finn said slyly with a grin. "We can also go to the flea market that's right there with it!" For some reason, I just don't see Finn going for that kind of stuff. Maybe a trendy second hand clothing store like Bufflo Exchange, but not flea markets. Ratso's face lit up. "Yeah!" he cheered. Sarah smiled at Ratso. "A flea market?" she asked Finn, rather excitedly. "Yep!" Finn replied happily. "They've got clothing, furniture, toys, and a..jewelry too," he winked at her with a grin. That are rather cheap. Sarah felt her cheeks flushing for a moment. "Oh! Oh, Finn I don't need any"-"Come oooon, Baby Doll!" Finn interjected casually. "It wouldn't hurt anything to look around, would it?" he asked her playfully. Sarah looked down for a second or two, then looked up at Finn and smiled. She would love to go out with the boys, to go out at all. "Okay, Finn," Sarah said happily. "Let's go!" "Alright!" Finn smiled. "Come on guys, let's go to the market!" And bore the readers to tears. Finn headed out the kitchen door and down to the garage. Chow and Ratso followed happily. Sarah began out the door, but stopped. She realized that Tohru hadn't agreed to going with them. She turned to see Tohru standing by the table. "Are you coming with us, Tohru?" she asked sweetly. Tohru looked at her for a moment, and he nodded. "Um, yes, Miss Sarah," he replied kindly. "As your guardian, I am required to go wherever you are going." Sarah smiled at him. "I'm glad," she said happily. "See you in the car then." Sarah headed out the kitchen door happily. Tohru watched her leave, and a small smile came to his face. He was glad that she wanted him to go with them. She doesn't have much choice. Tohru met them all at the car, where the boys and Sarah were waiting. "Shot gun!" Ratso shouted happily. "Ah come on, Ratso," Finn grinned. "Let Sarah have the front seat. Like a lady should," he winked at Sarah. Sarah rolled her eyes playfully at him and giggled. "Whatever, Finn," she smiled. "Ah, you're right, Finn. Here, Sarah!" Ratso said, as he gestured to the front seat. "Thank you, Ratso," Sarah said sweetly, as she got into the front seat. Finn chuckled and got in the back, while Tohru got into the driver's side, but not before shooting a glare at Finn. Jeez, Tohru it's not like he killed your father or anything. The car ride was fun for Sarah. It made her forget all of her pain from the night before. Ratso was telling 'knock, knock' jokes, while Chow would shake his head in dismay, telling Ratso they were terrible. Finn would laugh at them both and tell them he had funnier jokes. Finn: See, these two fags walk into a bar... Then he would tell one of his, and it would be awful too, which made Sarah laugh all the more. Tohru didn't laugh, but to hear Sarah laughing again made him smile to himself. Perhaps whatever had been bothering her before wasn't that big of a problem and she was alright now. When they arrived at the farmer's market, Sarah got out of the car first, and beamed with excitement. She had never been to a flea market, or any market for that matter. She had never had the chance to pick out her own ingredients for cooking at the asylum. She started to walk towards the booths, forgetting about the boys entirely. Finn: It's our only chance, quick, let's get out of here before she notices. "Slow down, Baby Doll!" Finn chuckled. "Let us show you around this place!" Sarah turned back to Finn and smiled with embarrassment. "Sorry, Finn," she apologized. "Come on, Sarah! I'll show ya' where the toys are!" Ratso said with great enthusiasm. Ratso: They got this new one called, The 8 Inch All American Whopper Dong. I don't know what if does, but I want it. Sarah laughed. "Okay, Ratso!" she grinned. "Uh, hang on, Ratso," Finn said. "Before we go shopping for the fun stuff, we should get the groceries. Sarah, I'll show you where the fruits and vegetable booths are." "Oh! Sure, Finn!" Sarah nodded happily. They came to where the produce booths, and Finn pointed to where they started for Sarah. "Now, just go down the rows, pick the stuff you want, and they'll have it ready for you when you're done," he instructed. Sarah nodded with a smile. "Got it," she said. "Will you guys be helping me pick stuff?" Oh God, would Jackie Chan just come in and beat them up? Come on, it doesn't have to have a logical reason or anything. "Er, no," Finn said, rather nervously. "We're, uh, gonna do some other uh..shopping." Sarah looked at Finn, a little confused, but she smiled. "Oh, okay, Finn," she said as she turned towards the first booth. "We'll catch up with ya later, Baby Doll!" Finn shouted at her as she left. Then Finn turned quickly back to the boys. "Um, why aren't we going with Sarah?" Chow asked curiously. "Yes, Finn, we should be with Sarah at all"-"I know, I know, Big T!" Finn interrupted Tohru hurriedly. "But just this once, we need to have her somewhere else," he said slyly. Tohru glared at Finn for interrupting him, but then gave him a look of confusion. "Guys, Sarah's 25th birthday is in a couple of days!" Finn said grinning. All three men looked at each other in surprise. Wait a minute, I thought she was already 25. "It is?!" Ratso said excitedly. Finn nodded happily. "Yep! I sneaked a look at her file on Big V's computer before we picked her up from the asylum. We gotta get her something!" "We should each get her somthin'!" Ratso cheered. "Even better!" Finn grinned. "But, we don't even know what she likes," Chow said with a shrug. "Ah, Chow, no sweat!" Finn replied. "She's a sweet young girl!" She likes clothes, jewelry, unicorns, stuff like that!" Or you could do what my last boyfriend did (before I killed him and put his body in five separate unmarked graves), cut a hole in a box and stick your dick into it. "Ad dolls?" Ratso asked hopefully. Finn sighed wearily. "Sure, Ratso...and dolls." "Yay! I'll get her a dollie!" Ratso cheered. That's just kinda creepy. "Let's split up and hurry, and if Sarah finds you, male up something! Tell her to go back to the kitchen and make something. Like, you're shopping for your mom, or sister...er..something," Finn shrugged. "Let's go then!" Chow said as he headed to the shopping booths. Ratso and Finn went too, but Tohru stood there for a moment. Find Sarah a gift? The only woman he had ever shopped for was his mother, and Sarah most certainly was not into a new salmon-colored blouse! What would Sarah like? Finn had mentioned jewelry. A punch in the face? "A necklace perhaps?" Tohru thought to himself. It was a start. So, Tohru headed to the jewelry booths, with a nervous expression still on his face. 29 smiles in a post-rape chapter? Wow. I hope you're not counting those words manually.
Cooking and shopping? This fic is a never ending thrill ride! Also, did Ratso always have the mentality of a five year old? I know the minions were pretty goofy, but... -------------------- Grammar is the difference between "knowing your shit" and "knowing you're shit."

Mar 29 2012, 11:53 PM29 smiles in a post-rape chapter? Wow. I hope you're not counting those words manually. Cooking and shopping? This fic is a never ending thrill ride! Also, did Ratso always have the mentality of a five year old? I know the minions were pretty goofy, but... Actually I do count them manually as I go through the story and write in the mocks. She does pick the most boring stuff to focus on. Honestly, no one wants to read about the characters going on a shopping trip unless there's a scene where Viper and Captain Black are fighting over the last bargain-bin Hello Kitty double-dong. As for Ratso, I don't remember him being like this and it's kinda creepy. Chapter 9 "Will that be all for you, ma'am?" the merchant asked Sarah. "Yes! Thank you!" Sarah replied as she took the bag from him. She had picked out all of the vegetable she needed, Which were all oddly phallic-looking. and was to head to the fruit merchants. But she stopped when she saw Chow walking in the distance. He was headed towards the toy booths. "Hmmmm," Sarah thought to herself. "Why on earth would Chow be at the toys?" To hit on the eight-year-olds. Sarah gave into temptation, and headed towards Chow. "Hey there, Chow!" Sarah greeted him sweetly. Chow yelped and turned quickly to face her. "Oooooh, heeeeeey, Sarah," Chow replied nervously rubbing his neck. "What're you doing at the toy booths?" Sarah asked curiously. Chow: Hiding from you. "Oh!" Chow exclaimed, and looked about frantically. "I'm uh...looking for...my uh, sis-sisters birthdays..gifts..." he muttered. "Your sister's birthday?" Sarah asked him, giggling. "YES! Yes! My little sister's birthday is coming up and I was..uh..shopping for her," Chow said, proud that Sarah had believed the fib. "Awww! That's so sweet!" Sarah squealed. "Yeah! But I don't know what she likes.." Chow said, as if planning his sentences carefully. I got an idea, get her a Monkey King doll (too bad only the fans are going to get that joke.) "Oh! Well, how old is she?" Sarah asked, happy she could help. Chow was quiet for a minute, looking around. "She's, uuuhh, six...seven..teeen," he stuttered. Sarah looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "Oooookaaaay," she replied, still a puzzled look on her face. "Soooo, seventeen?" Sarah: God, I can't wait to rub this in his face tonight. "Yeah! She's seventeen!" Chow confirmed happily. "Then, why are you at a stuffed animals booth?" she asked, a smile curling her lips. "Oh! Well, she's uh, still into dolls and stuffed animals," Chow replied, shuffling some dirt with his foot. Chow: And all of hers are inflatable. "Ah! I see!" Sarah nodded. "Well, can I help you pick something out for her?" "Awww, would ya?" Chow asked, feigning surprise. "Sure!" Sarah giggled. "So what's her favorite animal?" Chow looked around for a few seconds. "Uuuuh," he stalled. "Well, uh...what's your favorite?" he asked finally. "What does that have to do with anything?" Sarah asked, puzzled. Given that he hasn't sucked-up to you in a while, that's it. "Oh! Well, you two are a lot alike, I think!" Chow grinned. "I'm sure she'd love whatever you picked out for her!" Sarah gave him a suspicious look for a second. "I see," she acquiesced. "Well, one of my favorite animals are the panda bear." "Sweet!" Chow said excitedly. "I'll get her one of those!" Then tear its head off in front of her. Sarah giggled. "Okay," she said smiling. "Thanks, Sarah!" Chow said, both in happiness and relief. "Welcome, Chow!" Sarah replied happily. "I'll uh, catch up with ya later. How about you look at the fruit market!" Chow suggested. Liberace, Clay Akien and Chris-Chan should all be there. "Oh! Good idea!" Sarah nodded. Sarah headed towards the fruit stands, and wondered for a minute why Chow had acted so weird. Tohru walked up to a jewelry stand timidly. He had no idea what he was doing! His mind was blank on what to look for. He had started at the jewelry booth, but now he wasn't even sure if this was a good start or not. Maybe Sarah would like a bracelet? Or a necklace? Or earrings perhaps? Or you can get her a nice box of, "I have a life outside of you so you're getting nothing, bitch." Tohru scratched the back of his neck nervously.
Tohru: Damn, syphilis. "Mat I help you, young man?" an elderly woman asked him. She was standing behind the booth, smiling kindly at Tohru. Tohru bowed respectfully to her. "Oh, good day, madam," he said politely. "I apologize, I did not see you there." The elderly woman nodded courteously in return. "That is quite alright, dear. You seemed very deep in thought a few moments ago," she said kindly. Tohru: 2 + 2 is...Dang, I know this one. Tohru smiled nervously at her. "Uh, yes," he said quietly. "I am looking for a gift for a young girl." "I see," the woman said kindly. "Well, what does she like? Man, a "pearl necklace" joke would be way too easy. Does she prefer necklaces with a single charm, or necklaces with many?" she asked Tohru. Tohru looked to the ground, and scratched his head. "Uh..well..I am not quite sure actually," he said. "I have not known her long, but I was thinking she might like some sort of necklace with one charm," Tohru replied. "That's wonderful," the saleswoman said sweetly. So she pulled out one that said, "bitch" in big gold letters and told him it was free of charge. "Now, what are her favorite colors? " Tohru looked at the woman with a curious expression. "Uh..well, I suppose they are shades of turquoise and purples. That is what I have seen her wear. But then again, she has so many clothes, I am not completely certain of her favorite colors," Tohru said, and his eyes fell to the ground. The woman looked at Tohru with a kind and understanding smile. "Well, it sounds like this young lady already has so many nice things," she said. Tohru looked at the elderly woman, rather surprised she understood what he was thinking. If he didn't mouth out what he was thinking. "Yes..yes she does. Perhaps, she already has everything she could ever want..." Tohru replied, his voice fading into thought. "Hmm, yes," began the gray-haired woman. "Then, perhaps, a new piece of jewelry will not do as a gift," she concluded, and behind her eyes a smile glinted. But Tohru didn't see it. "But madam, she is a nice young girl, and my colleague said she would enjoy jewelry, or Naked pictures of Film Brain. "Maybe you should not listen to what your colleague says to get her," the woman replied, that glint in her eyes still there. "Perhaps, you should get her something that is from your heart." But if he did that, he'd just get her one of the Gor novels and tell her how much he agrees with author's view on women. Tohru looked at the lady with an ever more lost expression. "From my heart?..." he repeated quietly. "But, I do not"-"Just browse the other shops, dear," the woman interrupted sweetly. "I thank you for looking at my booth!" she said happily. "Have a wonderful day!" And with that, the elderly woman went behind the curtains in the back wall of the booth. She left Tohru standing there, staring blankly at where she had stood minutes ago. "My...heart?" Tohru whispered to himself. "That is..absurd." Is anyone else hearing sappy Disney music from some direct-to-video sequel to one of their movies? Ratso happily walked alone the toy booths. He was looking for the doll booths, and was incredibly excited to pick out a doll for Sarah. I know Ratso has a childish side, but I'm not sure he'd rush out and get someone over 20 a doll. He came to a booth with porcelain dolls in pink dresses with blonde hair, and some others had brown hair. "Nah, I wanna find Sarah a dollie that looks just like her!" Ratso said to himself with a smile. Who are you and what did you do to Ratso other than give him a lobotomy? So he came to the next section of the booth, that had dolls in blues and purple dresses. These dolls had black hair, and some had dark brown hair. There were even some with darker skin than the others. Some had green eyes, some had blue. Ratso chuckled to himself as he picked up one of the darker skinned dolls. Her eyes were a bright shade of green. "This one looks like sister, Lily," Ratso said smiling to himself. Ratso: Except she doesn't try to set him fire when she's bored. He then came to the last section of the booth, and gasped with delight. There sat porcelain dolls with red hair, dark blue eyes, and pale skin. The doll wore a turquoise-colored dress, with white lace. Her shoes were a Mary-Jane style and black. A small pouch purse was attached to her hand. Her cheeks were rosy, and her lips colored a pale pink. Ratso thought she was perfect. He beamed as he picked the doll up with the greatest care. He brought it to the sales woman cheerfully. "This one please, ma'am!" Ratso said excitedly to the woman. Ratso: I plan to hump it like crazy when I get home. "Ah yes, she's a beautiful one!" the cashier woman said, smiling kindly. Ratso nodded. "I know right?!" Ratso replied grinning. The woman looked at Ratso for a second, rather confused by his last remark. "Uh..would you like this gift wrapped?" she asked sweetly. "Yes please, ma'am!" Ratso replied politely. The woman nodded kindly at him and proceeded to wrap the doll. Ratso was grinning from ear to ear as she did so. Clerk: Don't look at him and he'll go away. Don't look at him and he'll go away. Don't look at him... "Sarah's gonna love this dollie!" he thought to himself ecstatically. "Here you are, sir," the woman said smiling. She handed the wrapped box to Ratso. "Thank you, ma'am!" Ratso replied happily. And with that, Ratso went off to find Finn and tell him he found Sarah the best gift in the world. Well, she can beat him to death with it. Tohru walked down the main path, looking left and right at the various booths. There were clothing booths, which had beautiful selections of scarves and hats. Then there was a booth featuring long, flowing dresses made of silk, and other fine fabrics. There was another booth with only gypsy skirts and tops for sale, each piece adorned with gold bells. Tohru thought these were lovely garments, but he was sure if Sarah already had something like them or not. Valmont had bought so much for her days before her arrival, Tohru didn't even see it all! Surely Sarah had been given the finest clothes Valmont could buy. Though they're all three sizes too small to encourage her to start purging. Tohru didn't want to get her something she already had, and nothing he could afford would compare to what Valmont could get Sarah. So he passed the clothing booths by, and came to the collectibles. So many lovely statues of angels, faeries, unicorns, and dragons. There were even mermaid figurines that sparkled in the sunlight! There were tiny porcelain animals, painted many colors. And there were collectible bears and horses too. “Would she enjoy a sparkly mermaid?” Tohru thought to himself. The old woman's words came to him once again. Old Woman: Shut-up and give her card you dolt. “Perhaps, you should get her something, that is from you heart.” Tohru stared off in the distance, still puzzled and frustrated by what the woman had said. What on earth did she mean? From his heart? Why? Why from the heart? Then Tohru chuckled to himself but it was cold. “..what heart?” he said in almost a whisper. A pain could be seen in his eyes for a second. AAANNNNNGGGGSSSSTTTT! Tohru continued to look around at the antiques and collectibles, but saw nothing that really caught his eye. Then he began t wonder why he cared so much about getting Sarah the right gift. Because if you don't, the author will kill your mom. Why did it matter to him if she liked a gift he gave her? She was just the girl he was ordered to protect. Bot his sister, not his mother, just a young girl with telepathy and telekinesis. But then Tohru remembered the previous night. He remembered Valmont striking Sarah, he remembered her face...her eyes. Full of fear, pain, and shame. And the rest of the Enforcers laughing their heads off. He remembered her tiny hand in his, and those eyes that looked gently up to him, thanking him for everything. No, Sarah wasn't just a girl. She had a wang. She was a girl Tohru swore to himself to protect from Valmont's wrath. She was the girl that kissed his cheek, without flinching, and with affection. That was why he wanted to please her with a gift. Because she was not like the other girls, not like any girl Tohru had ever known. And Tohru cared what she thought of him. He wanted her to know that he was her friend. He cared..for her. “Is that what the old woman meant?” Tohru asked himself. “Is wanting to please Sarah because I care for her finding a gift with my heart?” *throws-up in trash can* Tohru had felt he had lost his heart a long time ago. Being a crime lord's right hand-man for so many years had changed him, made him block all emotions of caring or concern for others. But Sarah had awoken something king withing him, something warm and relieving to his heart. It was with this feeling he thought he could find the perfect gift for Sarah. Smiling: 4 Sweetly: 3 Softly: 0 From what I've read in the comments section, Shendu won't be appearing until sometime after chapter 15 so this thing is pretty much set before the series. I don't see why it couldn't be set during it, it would be more interesting. -------------------- |
