I'm not sure if any of you have noticed, but Dan vs Parents is out. So, you know, watch it if you haven't already so we can discuss how great the show is.

That was great although they missed a prime opportunity to tell a gay adoption joke where the clerk assumes that Dan and Chris are a couple (though that might not go through with the censors). Dennis did have the potential to be a fun supporting character, so it's too bad we probably won't see him again.

I was rather disappointed about them not keeping Dennis, but the status quo must remain unchanged. Besides, Dennis was basically Young Dan. Other than that, the episode was great. I particularly love the jokes about those idiot hippie parent-types who are obsessed with letting their child express themselves in the stupidest ways possible.

I've noticed that as well. I just hope that the show doesn't fall into the trap that a number of social satire shows have where it gets caught in its own message, believes it has to lecture you, etc. But I have faith in this one.

I don't think that there is any risk of Dan Vs turning into post-season 6 Family Guy.

But yeah, I doubt Dan Vs. will get to that point. It opts for highlighting one of the sillier aspects of daily life and having Dan fight it (or having him fight random silly shit), so unless it ends up doing "Dan Vs. Republicans" or some such stupid shit, it should be fine. Heck, I've been loving the direction it's going in!

I'll be honest, it would be fine by me if they made an episode like that, though much more general satire on politics in general. The way I see it, if it's funny and not overtly preachy, I will enjoy it.

As for Dan vs Reality TV, that one was even funnier than the Parents one. It's amusingly cute how excited he was with the idea of going to astronaut camp. Though what happened to him in the end was pure dickery. Then again, if you're going to handle jerk characters, it's important to not always let them win and have them take their lumps to keep them in line. *cough*Anything by Sohmer*cough*

Personally I think that Dan vs. the Telemarketer is the best in the second season so far. Dan vs. Reality TV had some very funny moments (I especially liked the one where he sums up the book without actually reading it...and unintentional) but vs. the Telemarketer had also more crazy things going on and Imposter Dan`s plan was actually quite brilliant as far as I see it. Not to forget the ending where he actually wins but Dan in denial (or his own way of logic) thinks he has won.

To be fair, they established early on that Dan is highly knowledgeable about random things, and can be very articulate about said things. Also considering he hates everyone and tends to go on diatribes about people as it is...

Also, please tell me someone else here saw Dan vs. Chris. Holy shit that one was great...! We also get some insight as to why Dan and Chris are such close friends; they're not all that different.

Well, this show is thankfully getting a season three. Not that I was expecting otherwise, of course. Also, Dan Vs Wild West Town was pretty good, and Dan vs Chris was also great. Honestly, I have to say that some variation of "good" describes pretty much every episode of Dan Vs.

Anyway, I really love the contents of Dan's memory box, especially the picture he drew of burning down the school back in high school, and his lucky hand grenade.
