Even though none of you deserve it, I've decided to throw you dogs a bone in the form of some new perks to enhance your forum-going experience. We're not talking about anything major here, but the new fixes should eliminate a few common annoyances you folks have had to put up with for awhile. You're welcome.

First and foremost, new security features have been implemented that should stop the latest wave of spambots. In addition to new first-line defense measures to prevent bots from joining, we've also got some second-line defense that should prevent them from posting if they should manage to create an account, making cleanup much easier for me. A big thanks goes out to Requiem over at SOL for implementing these new features and taking time to give me a rundown of how they work. You're one class act, Req.

Next up, you guys might have noticed that you no longer have warning bars under your profile info. I've decided to deactivate the warning system for this forum. It's not a bad idea for larger boards, but for one this size it just feels too impersonal to slap someone with a warning when they do something unacceptable rather than explain to them what the situation is. The system almost never got used as a result, so it felt unnecessary to keep it active. Of course, this doesn't mean the rules won't be enforced from here on out, I'll just continue to rely on members' ability to use common sense and pay attention to what I say rather than using a partially automated police system to slap them with intimidating violation notices.

Moving on to a couple of smaller setting adjustments, the maximum resolution for uploaded personal photos (featured in your profile pages and Profile Cards) has been bumped up from 200x200 to 250x300. Also, spoiler-protected text is now much easier to spot against the board's dark background, as the block color is now dark gray instead of black.

Hope you guys enjoy the improvements. Again, I know it's nothing too exciting, but hopefully your future experiences posting on PA will be marginally better because of the changes. Feedback is welcomed.

Whoa, I'm diggin' that grey spoiler tag thing. Awesome.

Hey, speaking of increasing the resolution allowed for images, you ever plan on increasing the resolution for avatars? Honestly, some would look better when enlarged.

Nice one MOA. Oh, and I call the Ninja perk!

Cool. Any chance of an option to erase posts all together? So that we all, meaning us in general, can use it whenever WE are browsing on all our mobiles and OUR phones go retarded and post the same thing twice? Y'know like each and every one of us always does. :-D

Nice. The grey spoiler text is a nice touch.

I think being able to delete your own posts is something that might get abused. It would be one thing if Invision had a feature like vBulletin where it leaves a notice showing where a post has been deleted, but having them disappear altogether might lead to some confusion.

Nobody has ever gotten in trouble for accidentally double posting, and usually I'll just delete the duplicate post when I see it. If you accidentally double post and it goes unnoticed for a couple of days and it's really bothering you, feel free to send me a quick PM and I'll take care of it ASAP.

Nice changes on the spoiler box and the warning system.

As a senior member at AFTER, we here have to say that we are here to protect citizens from the evils of fanfictions that ruin everyday stories, anime, and games, have a good day...

Memo: Unfortunately looking back, I was apparently not so bad at mocks, let alone I neglected the site. I regret this and aim to solve this by finishing some of the things I left behind to regain what I had here. If you're interested, look forward to bigger, and better mocks.

Mocks:

Even the purest light creates a shadow: 1 & 2 3
Sakura Trees: 1
Monster: 1 (Lost and uncompleted)
First Date: 1
Eyes like no other: 1
Lies and Deception: 1 (Only one chapter)
Not another insert!: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (Taken down and unfinished)
