Jan 29 2009, 01:38 PMQUOTE (Kvitne @ Jan 29 2009, 05:34 AM) High Fidelity is a damn good movie. Along with Reign Over Me and August Rush. I like movies with a music theme. Then you might like Dreamgirls. Great music and it's nice to see Eddie Murphy doing a film that's worthy of his talents. As for that A-Team movie I hope they include Mr. T. Maybe it'll be about them finally getting cleared once and for all. -------------------- |

I miss the times when Eddie Murphy was actually funny...

I don't think I would. I tend to like movies that lean more towards rock music, or something similar. Like the movie Ray? Didn't do it for me. However I did like 8 Mile. Oh, and going along another vein, Green Street Hooligans is a kick-ass movie. I mean, it's no TDK, but it's still pretty awesome. |

Okay so I saw Paul Blart: Maul Cop with my girlfriend. It was a ridiculously dumb movie... but it was funny. If you're looking for mindless comedy, Paul Blart is the man to go to.

The Wrestler was surprisingly good. I recommend it to wrestling and non-wrestling fans alike.

I really want to see The Wrestler, and not just because I'm a fan of wrestling. I've heard it's an amazing movie all-around.
I saw Taken earlier today. If you're looking for a movie with a good story and sympathetic characters, you're going to want to pass here. But if you want to see an hour and a half of Liam Neeson beat the shit out of fucking everyone he sees, then have I got a flick for you. It's all pretty much mindless violence in the same line as Deathwish, but it gets the job done. I watched Neeson shoot dudes, kick dudes in the nuts, shoot some chick, drive through a building, shoot some more dudes, and it was awesome! Though not nearly awesome enough to buy the DVD. I'll watch it on Showtime whenever they decide to play it, sure but that's about it. -------------------- ![]() |

Huh, saw Knowing today. It wasn't as bad as many critics made it out to be, but was a good movie by my book. Forgetable? Yeah, but it sure is worth sneaking past that black security guard after seeing Watchmen again.

I haven't heard anything about this movie outside of other people, who apparently can't tell me much about it outside of what I already know about Wolverine's past. I'm still wondering if Captain America and those five other guys will be making any kind of cameo appearances during this film seeing how those guys were made into what they were because of World War II. I really need to go find out more about this thing.

Deadpool is handled well at the beginning. I'm confused with what they did with him at the end. I could definitely see Ryan Reynolds doing Deadpool though. There really wasn't enough Deadpool in the movie.
And Marx, I'm not really sure what you mean by "those 5 other guys." Captain America's not in the film, and if you're talking about the Avengers, then no. They're not in the movie at all either. Below is a fairly major spoiler, so if you don't want stuff screwed up for you then don't read. Or rather I'm not sure if it's Deadpool at the end. I may be mistaken, but I do know that when Wolverine fights Weapon XI at the end of the film he refers to him as "Wade", so that would have to be Deadpool right? But he wasn't in the Weapon X program, he was in the Weapon Plus program. Did they mess up the canon that much or am I missing something? And a completely different actor played Weapon XI in the film, which, all things considered, doesn't make much sense because he doesn't really have any lines.
