I thought it was cute, too. There were better Pixar films though and Larry the Cable Guy did a better job than I thought he would.

I also cracked up at the Lynyrd Skynyrd reference. Now here's some food for thought: What movie(s) perfectly sum up the nineties and will probably gain some sort of cult status? Office Space, I'm sure. -------------------- ![]() |

Holy smokes, 215 just outed himself as a member of the growing Red Menace! Nice detective work there, BO. You are a true patriot.

...Shit!
I know! Rocky IV is the greatest movie ever made. Claiming that the movie that single handedly brought down the USSR with an awesome speech makes you a fucking freedom loving American! Take that, McCarthy! -------------------- ![]() |

Burn After Reading was HORRIBLE. I saw absolutely nothing worth laughing at. It felt like sitting in a room full of people who were all hatefully glaring at me. I waited and waited for it to get to the good part, and then... it ended.
And I was like: "...What in the fuck just happened?" -------------------- Cor cordis

Know what movie kicked ass? The Toxic Avenger. Some nerd falls in a vat of toxic waste becoming some deformed superhero, and beats the hell out of bullies and bouncers. There's this one scene where he takes a blender and puts this guy's head in it. It was mildly disturbing.
The Thing kicks so much ass, and scares the shit out of me! Even now! Especially these scenes. You know, I really hate remakes mostly because it's usually just a way to rmake money. Most suck and the fact the when it's good it's the exception saddens me. Watching TV I saw the add for the Friday the 13th remake, and I saw fucking Jason in there! Have these people forgotten what made the first one so damn awesome?!

What saddens me is that all the cinemas around here are only showing the 2D version of 'My Bloody Valentine'. Where's the retro tackiness in that?

Jumping back a bit, Cars was a good movie, just not up to Pixar's normal standard of greatness.

Eh, the fact that Ridley Scott's attached to the project gives me some hope (although I'd feel better if he was directing), but I don't know... I guess it depends on whether or not they cast Mr. T. He's getting older, I know, but damn, he was like 70% of what made that show good.

High Fidelity is a damn good movie. Along with Reign Over Me and August Rush.
I like movies with a music theme. |
