Interesting how many of the "webmangas" Alex mentioned as examples suck though I wouldn't count Girl Genius due to it's more westernized style in writing and art. (I have to be careful since my virus scanner says it finds threats on this site.) It was great to see an update on Megatokyo. Say, have you ever gotten any hate mail from the fans?

Well, now this was an informative podcast. Otaku!Shmeckie who writes fanfiction. I honestly can't see that. Five bucks says the comments will be calling out cries of hypocrisy for your past behaviour
But seriously, we all had that moment in time of just going into undiluted geekiness. You guys are a bit older than me so I got into Pokemon around the age of 7. I was full on into it for 5 years. I was a complete sterotype of a pokenerd. It also ruined my social life because my obsessive love for it clashed with others' interests at this age. I think my family sunk 1000s into my obsession. Thankfully I got out of it and tried to ween it off with other things such as Digimon, DragonBall Z and Yu-Gi-Oh! (my older cousin from the navy actually was into the latter two). In highschool, my interests in anime got lower and lower. I tried getting Naruto for about a week but didn't really feel it. I actually started watching Dirty Pair but couldn't find alot of episodes. The only series I really got into was Death Note, and that was because it had good voice acting and (to me) an interesting story. But when I got roped into an Anime Club by my friends, they were obnoxious and showed anime that I really couldn't get into. Plus, it reminded me of myself at my worst, just older. This is mainly a reason I'm not really into anime, even to this day. Sorry for the drawn out post but overall this was hard to listen to all the way through, because it reminded me so much of my loser self. Thank god I managed to join one of the few anime savvy communities that breaks anime nerd stereotypes. Good work as always guys.
