THIS is the greatest song of all time. Only song I would flat-out call "beautiful," to boot.
*

That's a good one. A really good one, actually.

I will continue to not post my personal favorite song simply because my taste in music changes so frequently that I'd end up editing my post three times a week for eternity. For what it's worth, the song that's stayed in my playlist rotation the longest is Wavy Gravy. I wouldn't call it my favorite, but it's pretty high up there—quite an accomplishment considering I generally get bored of progressive chill-out faster than just about any other genre.

Not at all. So many good songs out there, it's hard to pick which one is the best.

I'm really enjoying Tech N9ne's stuff.

You oughta pick up his album All 6's and 7's. The track "So Lonely" blew me right the fuck away (left me slack-jawed, no joke), plus it has "Am I a Psycho," which features possibly the two best hip-hop artists of this current generation; B.o.B. and Hopsin. B.o.B. and fucking Hopsin, on the same track, with Tech N9ne, and all three of them fucking kill it. Plus it's got some killer fucking tracks (including some really heartfelt ones, like "Mama Nem" and "If I Could").

My favorite Homestuck songs. All of them are fucking incredible:

--------------------

"The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.”

There is only one god, and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death. "Not today." - Syrio Forel

I am He who howls in the night; I am He who moans in the snow; I am He who hath never seen light; I am He who mounts from below.
My car is the car of Death; My wings are the wings of dread; My breath is the north wind’s breath; My prey are the cold and the dead.

Christ, I recently bought that one. THAT was a lucky coincidence that they had it. Still need to listen to it...

OH GOD YES! I recently re-discovered that song. No fucking idea why I neglected it so much... Listened to it again recently, felt like a fucking idiot for letting it sit unlistened-to on my iPod for so long...

So good...!

That whole album is pretty damn solid. I finally found a copy of the original 2005 release version a few months ago and I've listened to it a couple times since. I've yet to get tired of hearing it.

Boy, this is gonna take a while. I have a lot of favorites, and they tend to change. I'll do what Max did and limit it to one song per artist, though most of my favorite songs are by a few choice artists.

Rebeller - Raubtier
John Deere, Jim Beam, moonshine, Remington. By your powers combined, I am Captain Redneck.

Midway - Sabaton
One, two, thee, four, I declare a naval war. (Not really, Canada would have its ass kicked in minutes.)

Othello - B. B. Gabor
There's a fight going on inside Othello. How do the people fighting fit inside him?

Dreamweaver - Stratovarius
Adobe would be proud.

Harvester of Sorrow - Metallica
Anyone want their wheat harvested? No? You sure?

We Sold Our Homesteads - Falconer
I don't think there's any way to make this funny. Seriously.

Tyranny of Steel - Iron Savior
Double the metal, no, triple.

Octavarium - Dream Theater
It ends where it begins, with eight times the fun.

The Bird and the Worm - The Used
"All alone he turns to stone." If you know what I mean. *Eyebrow wiggle*

Morino Gadukan - Susumu Yokota
I can't make this song funny either.

Mind Heist - Zack Hemsey
Shut up. This song is great, even if the movie sucks.

Megalomaniac - KMFDM
Megalomania sounds like a badass mental affliction now.

When the Wild Wind Blows - Iron Maiden
Sounds like the inner workings of a 2012-whackjob.

Faustian Echoes - Agalloch
You would exchange your soul just to hear this song for the rest of your life.

Heimcomputer - Kraftwerk
Beep. Boop.

I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin
"I don't wanna change the world". Sure you don't.

We Three Kings - Wintersleep
Christmas just turned metal.

Buried Alive - Venom
Take the lid off this box before I suffocate from the awesomeness!

Reflection - Tool
There is no way to make this funny either.

Prototyp - Eisbrecher
I'll build myself a prototype of something.

Pavane for a Dead Princess - Maurice Ravel
Yes, I know, classical music. So what?

Gymnopedie No. 1 - Erik Satie
You know, people CAN actually like this stuff.

Host of Seraphim - Dead Can Dance
I have no witty statement for this song either.

Now, I also like music from game soundtracks as well. The whole Okami soundtrack is awesome, but I'll only post this song to give you a taste. I also like this song and the theme of Skyrim. I do like a lot more songs, though, from other soundtracks but I think I've posted enough.
