We did have a topic for this...but yeah, I love Oblivion. Argonians are the way to go. They can breathe underwater plus they're awesome thieves. They even make decent warriors.

The Shivering Isles was such a great expansion for the series. Sheogorath was awesome.

If you're an Oblivion fan White Wolf, then you'll probably enjoy Living in Oblivion. It's a blog about a guy who makes a butt ugly character and tries to steer clear of adventure. It hasn't updated in forever, but it's still worth a read.

I have it on PC, but I've yet to actually rework the controls to make'em work with my 360 controller. My little bro actually bought the game for his 360, so I could just jack the game from him when he isn't paying attention, but the PC version has a bunch of fan created content, so I'd rather play it.

I gotta go check on that multiplayer mod somebody was working on for the game.

This game is awesome. Personally I like to play as Redguards. I haven't given Argonians a chance, though, so if I ever get around to playing it again I'll probably fix that.

And yeah, Shivering Isles was awesome. I love what happens if you attack Sheogorath. Speaking of which, "Cheese! For EVERYONE!"

Pretty much everyone who lives in my house has played this game. Even my little sister who doesn't play video games much at all played the crap out of this.

Fallout 3 is the same with the mods. I bet you'd like that better, considering it has tons of awesome guns and armor.

I loved this game on the console. I kept planning on buying or building myself a proper gaming computer so I could play the PC version with the literally hundreds of amazing mods out there, but that never ended up happening. Supposedly Elder Scrolls V is in the works.

So, a spellblade? I like making custom classes. One was "Village Idiot" and another was "I like Pie".

I'm only level 25, but that doesn't matter considering I can kill almost anything in one hit. I also exploited the "Bound Items" glitch which lets you keep the bound weapons and armor you can summon, and since they're all zero weight, I can run around super fast wearing daedric armor, and swing a huge bound sword without ever getting tired.

EDIT: In the Great Gate quest, I gathered up as many party members as I could, I had Shadowmere, a dark brotherhood murderer, a Knight of the Nine, a Flame Atronoch, a guard from Battlehorn Castle, and The Adoring Fan. It was the weirdest party ever formed. I forgot to mention my characters name is Raptor Jesus.

I love this game, played the fuck out of this game, and modded the fuck out of this game. It's been going uber slow lately, but thankfully I'll be getting a new computer.

Shivering Isles was ridiculously great. Bethesda deserves some free high-class hookers for how great that turned out...!

For some reason, I don't see you as the Oblivion type. Oh well, you learn something new everyday.

I started up a new file actually, with a Nord named Briggs. I never put armor on him, only normal clothes. He's surprisingly tough, even without armor. The only problems I face are with Orcs with usually only get him down to about half his health before I slaughter them. If I were an Argonian I'd be dead on the first strike. I completed the Arena questline when he was only level five. The Grey Prince went down like a little bitch. I was seriously underleveled as well.

I also enjoy finding new ways to torture the Adoring Fan. I've catapulted him off Dive Rock like a million times, same with Frostcrag Spire, I've thrown his naked corpse down a mountain side, I've cast dozens of Frenzy spells on him, I've crushed his corpse under the gate of Battlehorn Castle. I've shot an arrow through his hair, somehow killing him, I've pushed him into hot lava, I've used the Wabbajack on a harmless animal, transforming it into a Clannfear, and letting it rip him to pieces, I've told him to buzz off, and then put an axe in his back. He's like the ultimate stress reliever. God, I never thought I'd say this, but I love killing him.

I have three characters, all have over 60 hours and one has more than 200.

I've only closed a few Oblivion gates total and haven't reached the top of any guild.

How is that shocking? I use female characters in RPGs too, mostly in KOTOR.

Well seeing as the games are supposed to be about, you know, Role Playing the whole concept is to become someone you're not. So there's nothing weird or shocking about using a female character.

I've heard of Oblivion (and Sheogorath's awesomeness) before, maybe I should give it a spin.

I would actually argue that roleplaying is about being something you already are. I think you can only act like someone if you understand them to a degree. Of course, if my idea is correct then that means that whenever you are playing an evil character who slaughters people, nukes cities or drowns kittens - you are looking in a mirror.

(On the plus side, the same would be true with good characters.)
