Apparently next chapter we're finally going to see what that afro guy's deal is. So, Unohana was killed by Kenpachi and we have confirmation that Ichigo's mother was a Quincy. Most people probably already figured that out a while ago, but I guess it's nice to have confirmation so the plot can (very gradually) move forward. The one thing that annoys me about this is the way that Ichigo's parents came together under such unlikely circumstances makes the whole "Aizen secretly orchestrated all this" plot twist seem even more ridiculous in hindsight. I really, really wish Kubo had never pulled that. I've never been one for the whole "headcanon" thing, but I really think I'll enjoy the story more if I just pretend that never happened.

I still don't really understand the need to make the main character have every power in the manga. First he's a shinigami, then he's a hollow, then he's a fullbringer, and now he's gonna be a quincy. Seriously, why is this necessary? I've almost lost all interest in the MAIN PROTAGONIST because he can do everything (not counting the times he failed at doing things within the story).
